YOU are a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is able to work in a team as well as independently, with minimal supervision. YOU are a self-starter who is well organized, analytical and good at prioritizing. YOU possess a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification. YOU have a University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Accounting or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience of inhouse payroll administration in Canada. Experience with HRIS, preferably SAP is an asset.

YOU will support our day-to-day business operations by: processing payroll in-house for weekly, temporary, and semi-monthly employees, as well as off-cycle pays, issuing Records of Employment to employees, and year-end tax reporting; providing all necessary documents to the Payroll Manager to ensure timely review and payment that complies with internal operational and SOX controls.
YOU will work closely with HR and KPMG to gather expatriate information, challenge it with a healthy sense of skepticism, and ensure accurate calculations and timely payroll system updates.
YOU will manage month-end related processes (e.g. journal entries, information gathering for GL account reconciliations, etc.) as well as maintain all paper and electronic payroll records in accordance with the government and audit requirements.
YOU will respond to routine ad hoc payroll inquiries from employees, managers, and government bodies to ensure a high level of customer service.
