Your ‘day to day’
You’ll be leading the Strategic footprint design of PMI’s D2C (direct to consumer) Last Mile logistics services and Reverse Logistics network operations. Ensure improvement plans are in place for achieving critical KPI’s for D2C deliveries, and the replacement of devices (drop off points, local services, Omni channel solutions.
•Create the roadmap for innovation to improve the D2C transportation delivery and returns experience, partnering with internal and external customers to ensure world-class delivery service at optimal cost experienced globally.
•Build out a best in class D2C delivery and return logistics customer facing tracking visibility solution, providing exceptional customer experience from the perspective of any customer in the world.
•Design and selection of D2C transportation carrier network, reverse and replacement logistics suppliers enabling scalable solutions, growth and innovation in current/future regions for both new and existing business.
•Strategic deliverables include enabling exceptional customer experience through on-time & convenient delivery and return solutions, while achieving cost optimization.
•Improve the strategic network design of D2C logistics services and reverse logistics spanning from fulfillment centers to last-mile customer deliveries and retail stores, within a large and complex delivery network with more than 40 fulfillment centers, dozens of carriers, and numerous delivery solutions.
•Develop PMI’s D2C Logistics strategy and best in class metrics and processes to support global growth and expansion.
•Develop a close pulse on Industry best in class tools, trends, technologies, suppliers, and innovations within D2C logistics and reverse logistics scope.
•Coordinate with RRP B2C Logistics and Brand Retail teams around the globe on shared requirements to explore the benefits of developing and testing new delivery and return logistics concepts - piloting new concepts with MVP markets.
•Innovate and improve on the methods of international Ecommerce shipping from origin to customer door to improve the customer experience and reduce the landed cost to the customer
Who we’re looking for
•Proficiency in process mapping techniques and tools (Lean, Six Sigma) with a continuous improvement mindset
•+ 10 years prior experience in B2C Logistics, Last Mile services, global cross-border shipments, and Reverse Logistics experience in a fast moving, high volume, and dynamic e-commerce environment
•+ 5 years Project Management experience of complex and multi discipline projects involving various stakeholders. Experience to include project design, ownership, management to full implementation, including analysis of post implementation assessment to initial goals.
•Knowledge of Trade Compliance, Customs Brokerage, dangerous goods, International Import / Export transportation and regulations
•Experience in alternative Last mile methods of delivery (e.g lockers, pick up points, same day / hour deliveries)
•Prior experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
•Strong analytic skills (ability to drive own analyses and to quickly interpret others’ analyses)
•Significant Global logistics experience, especially in Eastern and Western Europe
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong problem solving / investigation skills
•Proactive, independent, highly organized, detail oriented and excited about participating in growing PMI’s RRP business
