Manager Sustainability Culture & Programs

We are currently looking for a Manager Sustainability Culture & Programs. In this role, you will be part of Manufacturing Sustainability team and will be reporting to the Head of Safety Leadership & Culture in Manufacturing Sustainability. The position is planned to be based in İzmir, Turkey. We are also open to discuss your location preference. A key responsibility will be to support the development and deployment of Global Manufacturing activities related to Leadership and Culture for Safety and Sustainability across PMI manufacturing as well as cultural and leadership practices and projects coordination across PMI Manufacturing. You will develop programs and set of capabilities and trainings to generate and enhance leadership and functional skills for world class safety management and to establish a mindset for occupational safety and care as a corporate value. You will promote the safety leadership and engagement culture and its integration into the IOS framework of OPEN+ globally and promote and sustain a zero loss culture. You will contribute to the delivery and deployment of global manufacturing sustainability agenda, programs and initiatives through engagement into factories. Provide functional capabilities on EHS and OPEN+ and departmental direction as well as communication on programs, to ensure the success, visibility, professionalism and effectiveness of the local Manufacturing Sustainability function. You will also benchmark industry best practices for Programs and tools for Safety Culture and Leadership and reflect into PMI. Develop and deploy communication, campaigns and recognition & reward programs and closely collaborate with Communication departments of PMI Manufacturing. Further you will contribute to the functional PDCAs and you will support and get alignment amongst the EHS communities of assigned regions/Manufacturing Centers. Act as the SPOC for the respective regional and central function stakeholders. Finally, you will ensure that PMI principles, standards and procedures for EHS are fully embedded and support the implementation of OPEN+ Sustainability Pillar. Specific responsibilities include: • LEADERSHIP Lead the delivery of global EHS programs related to Leadership & Culture for Safety and Sustainability and support Region/Cluster and Local manufacturing management to achieve EHS goals. Regularly assess and survey the Safety Climate in PMI manufacturing sites to identify trends, to leverage on strengths and to address weaknesses. • CUSTOMER SERVICE & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT Provide environmental information, tools and support based on analysis, trends, regulations, guidelines, best practices and global policies to help manufacturing affiliates to improve their performance. Coordinate and perform functional assessments and audits on EHS at regions/clusters and affiliates. • MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND STANDARDS In collaboration and alignment with the Global Sustainability Leadership team, with regional EHS leads and affiliates, benchmark, develop, propose and update PMI Standards, Programs and CBAs for Safety leadership and Culture to achieve world class reference level. Identify elements from Safety Leadership and Culture that support and substantiate the implementation of the PMI EHS management system and associated guidance, based on company EHS Principles and practices. • COMMUNICATION & NETWORKING Ensure accurate communication and sharing of best practices between OC, regions/clusters, manufacturing EHS. Develop global platforms for communication and campaigns. • ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Contribute to building the organizational and individual technical environmental capability of the EHS function in the OC, regions/clusters, and factories. • EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE Identify emerging regulations on Health and Safety that may affect our operations, in cooperation with the regions. Regularly screen adherence and compliance with records and documentation related to EHS requirements for Employees and Contractor Management. Seek for alignment and collaboration between EHS and Internal Audit department to establish sustainable monitoring. • PERFORMANCE AND REPORTING Ensure timely implementation of incident and data reporting requirements, investigation, analysis, and corrective actions, in order to deliver management reporting and support EHS performance improvement within the function. Monitor and guide the affiliates in order to ensure data integrity and timely reporting of the data. Requirements & Skills: • More than 6 years work experience with at least 3 years in EHS management or production management in a factory or equivalent environment. Solid leadership experience at factory level or similar, advanced experience in leading and building teams and projects in Sustainability • Degree in science or engineering. Specific technical knowledge of Environment / Safety and Industrial Health as well as on P&C related sciences is a clear plus. • Interpersonal skills : customer oriented, change driver, ability collaborate with wide range of stakeholders and audience levels and diversity, agile, force of proposal, dealing with ambiguity, open and willing to international travel • Language: English proficient • PC Skills: Microsoft office, Word, Excel, Power point • Others: ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, regulatory compliance.
