Head of Trade Marketing

We are looking for a Head of Trade Marketing responsible for Propose, develop and implement strategic trade marketing plans and activities (for all channels) aimed at achieving preferred partnerships with the trade, which support the achievement of sustainable competitive advantages at retail and enhance consumer preference for Philip Morris brands. Develop, implement and manage initiatives such as trade education programs, trade incentive programs and trade relations programs. Main Accountabilities: Trade Programs (for all channels): Identify opportunities and develop trade programs (strategic and tactical) aimed at contributing to the primary Commercial objectives and to build preferential and sustainable trade relationships with key Trade Partners for the end achievement of Volume, Share and OCI objectives. Incorporate, ‘Pay-for-performance’ principles and devise innovative and cost-effective programs taking note of volume targets. Continually analyze and review Philip Morris and competitor trade strategies and performances as well as provide strategic recommendations as required by evaluating the effectiveness of Philip Morris trade programs against set objectives, trade needs and competitive strategies. Adjust plans, where required to ensure competitiveness. Trade Intelligence & Segmentation: Formulate, lead and implement Segmentation model to allow a better allocation of resources and investments to support Commercial strategies. This includes close collaboration with key stakeholders to identify Segmentation drivers following that, to establish the parameters and dimensions for each of the drivers. To then maintain the quality and accuracy of the census data for Segmentation, together with Sales Information. PPOSM & Merchandising: Define, in collaboration with key stakeholders, the premium and consistent retail look across trade channels. Spearhead the development of PPOSM and ensure that the communication of PM brands at POS represent its brand values, builds equity and creates the ‘point-of-difference’ at retail. Coordinate with key stakeholders to define Merchandising strategies and goals which will align and support the overall Brand Portfolio strategy. Get agreement and lead the development of merchandising programs and tools including FSF communication to ensure effective strategy implementation and field execution. Ensure that all executions are approved by the Commercial Manager, Corporate Affairs Manager, Legal Counsel and Local Management, prior to implementation – to ensure that all activities are inline with local regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures. Continuously develop the Commercial talent pool and conduct regular reviews of organisation capability by designing jobs, processes and roles that ensure successful fulfilment of business objectives and anticipation of future category trends. Develop a pipeline of local talent for succession to all key Trade Marketing positions to ensure organisation sustainability. Propose and justify Trade Marketing budget requirements to support the agreed strategies and plans. Manage the efficient & effective use of the allocated budgets. Regularly monitor budget utilization and report variances Continually meet all agreed financial and administrative objecti ves whilst complying with PMI policies and procedures at all times. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent Minimum 10 years of Sales or Trade Marketing experience, preferably in the FMCG industry Strong understanding and knowledge of General Trade and Key Accounts environment Fluent English What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
