For our Business Architecture & Process Design team in London, UK (Global Studio) we are therefore looking for a Lead, Technical SEO (A&PD). In this position you will be responsible for governing how websites are built SEO-friendly globally, managing Technical SEO initiatives in 60+ countries, and ensuring, with the Hub Operations team, that ongoing changes don’t interfere with search engine accessibility and site performance. This challenging yet rewarding role will have a direct impact in commercializing reduced risk products online and moving PMI towards a smoke-free future. You will: • Conduct technical site audits to identify new opportunities and validate SEO requests provided by internal stakeholders and partner agencies. • Oversee the implementation of technical SEO recommendations in global websites and platforms. • Contribute to the technical SEO roadmap and take the necessary actions so it is successfully delivered. • Provide SEO recommendations for information architecture, navigation, page layout, internal linking and structured data. • Participate in backlog grooming, consult on the creation of user stories, answer developer questions and realign between 3rd party vendors and technical SEO team when issues are discovered. • Find ways to reduce crawl errors, improve site accessibility, crawl budget and site performance. • Work with the Development & Operations team to ensure accurate implementation of SEO improvements. • Project manage technical SEO elements of PMI technical SEO projects, including new features rollouts. • Successfully implement the established SEO due diligence process for quality control testing prior as well as following site releases. We’re looking for someone with: • At least 3 years’ technical SEO experience at an established brand or agency • Previous experience as a Google Search Quality Rater or running technical SEO at an established brand or agency. • A passion for technical SEO. • Ability to communicate complicated technical SEO concepts to key stakeholders who may not have a background in search engine optimization. • Project management and data governance experience, and comfortable producing documentation for structured data implementations in JSON-LD. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration. • Experienced with frontend website development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) • Experienced with site speed monitoring tools including but not limited to Webpagetest.org, GT Metrix, New Relic etc. • Previous experience working in an agile environment with sites built on Adobe / Hybris, Drupal Acquia / Salesforce (preferred) • Prefer computer engineering degree with software development experience. • Experienced with industry-standard SEO tools including but not limited to: Screaming Frog, Deep Crawl, Oncrawl, Conductor, Majestic SEO, Ahrefs etc. • Experienced with site speed monitoring tools including but not limited to Webpagetest.org, GT Metrix, New Relic etc. • Experienced with bug tracking and project management tools, ideally JIRA • Great understanding of the commercial impact of SEO. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail. • Can-do attitude and willingness to make things happen. • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
