Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Shenzhen, China. We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Supplier Quality Packaging & Accessories to establish alignment between the company Quality requirements, critical supplier (Packaging & Accessories) processes and capabilities. Report performance metrics, for mechanical and electronic suppliers. Lead investigations from consumer returns and corrective actions at suppliers (Packaging & Accessories). Responsibilities • Establish alignment between the company requirements, critical supplier processes & capabilities and performance metrics • Produce, analyze, and deliver critical Supplier Performance Reports (Packaging & Accessories). Develop and implement critical supplier quality improvement programs including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving. • Review supplier quality plan to ensure it meets product quality requirements consistently through product life cycle. • Represent QA as SME across Risk analysis and change management activities, influencing industrialization and commercialization projects direction and ensuring outcome is compliant and practical. • Schedule and conduct supplier technical visits and surveys. Work closely with Purchasing and Engineering for scouting new suppliers and when addressing supplier related issues. • Evaluate the impact of nonconforming product and assess critical suppliers’ corrective actions, ensuring completion • Control quality aspects across critical suppliers for multi-sourced components, providing on-site source inspections and supplier surveillance as required. Drive process initiatives to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, while instilling supplier accountability for product quality • Closely work with Procurement and Engineering to provide PPAP process in supporting the New Products Introduction part qualification Who we’re looking for • BSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalents • 5-10 years or above working experience in Quality roles at device or electronic accessories manufacturers. • Strong aptitude towards collaboration with suppliers. • Expected to be a certified Quality Management Systems auditor and rise to lead auditor certification in a timely manner. • Experience with Packaging & Accessories • Good command of English is a must • Good communication skills and stakeholders management Philip Morris International: Delivering a Smoke-Free Future Philip Morris International (PMI) is a leading international tobacco company engaged in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes, smoke-free products and associated electronic devices and accessories, and other nicotine-containing products in over 180 markets.
