Ultimately, by delivering our smoke-free future, your work could change the lives of a billion smokers. Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. for the Smoke-Free Products at electronic hub (eHUB). We are looking for a leader with extensive electronic technical know-how, outstanding leadership capabilities, and a strong drive and motivation to succeed, to supervise and drive the industrialization strategy for critical components and devices to achieve on time, quality, cost and volume targets. Responsibilities • Hire, train, manage and lead a team of Industrialization, Testing, and Tooling Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support EMSs to reach targets. Strategically manage team resources according to business priorities. Ensure adequate succession planning to drive long-term sustainability for the function. • Lead the process development of manufacturing process (SMT, FATP) in PMI’s different manufacturing partners’ factory to reach MP stage through EVT, DVT, PVT to enable timely, on-quality, on-volume for Ramp and Mass Production. Own and develop new manufacturing processes for new product and ensure readiness before handing over to manufacturing operations team for mass production deployment. • Lead and drive the industrialization of critical components to reach MP stage through EVT, DVT, PVT; take lead in pFMEA reviews with component suppliers to ensure accurate quality control strategy in their subassembly processes. • Define and implement the Tooling Management Strategy, ranging from Tooling DFM to tooling fabrication, issues mitigation and readiness on all sources for all mechanical piece parts. Actively participate in ME supplier selection with Procurement for new products. • Own Test Development strategy for new products, including Hardware and test software development to meet product specifications. • Establish close working relationships with the Product Development team to review and approve DFx throughout the product Development cycle. • Act as the 'go to' technical SME in industrialization, play an active role in sharing standard methodologies, encouraging and facilitating cross-functional integration, and driving high levels of morale and engagement across the organization. Who we’re looking for • University Master’s degree in electronic/ mechanical/ process engineering or equivalent. • A seasoned, proven Industrialization specialist with around 10-15 years electronic product related experience and applicable people management experience. • Relevant Industries would be: consumer electronics /medical devices/ automotive. Prior experience working for EMSs highly preferred. Experience in industrializing and introducing new electronic products is required. • Demonstrable experience at building business processes. Sound knowledge of systems. Ability to learn fast technical matters, quality systems as well as new organizational environment. • Strong technical capabilities and leadership experience in managing a team of engineering specialists or subject matter experts. • Able to act promptly, efficiently and effectively and sufficient composure to work under high pressure. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in English is a must.
