We are therefore looking for a Partnerships Specialist to join our Global Transformation Communications team in either New York City or Washington, D.C. Your ‘day to day’ In this role, you will be accountable for supporting a network of global partners and consultants that help spread and solidify the authenticity of PMI’s vision for a Smoke-free Future. In parallel, you’ll act as the team project lead, organizing and running processes to keep work on track. You will: • Work with the team to build a globally recognized, quarterly convening hub for civil society, industry and NGO leaders to create shared visions of corporate transformation, the restoration of trust, increased transparency and shared progress toward public-private corporate social responsibility. • Identify, approach and enlist new partners and collaborators from a variety of sectors and expertise fields to publicly align themselves with PMI’s smoke-free vision. This includes alignment with the #Unsmoke vision and global dialogue. • Oversee the team’s project management as it pertains to vendor management, budget spend, as well as KPI development, measurement of success against objectives, and reporting. • Manage and (with external partners) co-create platforms for the constructive discussion of best practices in business transformation, engaging with global key opinion leaders and private sector experts, as part of efforts to take forward PMI’s message of global change and a smoke-free future. • Run project streams related to a variety of topics including the #Unsmoke campaign as they relate to strategic partnerships. • Collaborate with relevant teams to help craft a capability building offer that suits all seniority levels across a wide array of focus areas (e.g. communications trends, civil society engagement, transformation, communications, PR) to deliver against the comms objectives behind Unsmoke and the Smoke-free future. • Own continuous inflow of intelligence and research to inform VP GCT and peer decision making towards strategic targets. Who we’re looking for: • University degree in the areas of marketing /communication, digital/social media. • Prior experience in communications partnerships within international organizations. • Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders (NGO, private sector, media, academia) in a global environment towards delivering PMI’s vision of a smoke-free future. • Ability to connect the dots, outline and define processes using technology to streamline administrative tasks within the greater team. • Great teammate, who is comfortable forming relationships and working with internal stakeholders across seniority levels. • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, self-starter and fast learner. • Natural people motivator with the gravitas to represent the team's objectives across the organization.
