We are looking for our Quality Engineer, this is a critical role within the Quality team in Guadalajara. This role is responsible of identify opportunities of improvement for materials, KPIs, productivities or processes related to QA, executing the action plans while maintaining stakeholders informed. Manage special projects and initiatives related to improvement or optimization of processes related to QA. Coordinate workshops with the objective of identify root cause analysis for Quality Incidents and Non Conformities. Your ‘day to day’ • Perform the trend analysis based on statistical tools to ensure alignment between materials specifications and process capabilities. Identify opportunities of improvement on floor for cigarette and packaging materials, support the implementation of improvement actions and monitor the effectiveness. • Provide on floor support on problem solving related to material non-conformities or Quality and Manufacturing KPIs performance, identify opportunities of improvement, implement and evaluate the effectiveness. • Perform material tests according to stakeholders requirements such as new material qualification, changes on current materials, new materials for the factory already qualified by another PMI production center, in order to validate that the materials are in compliance with PMI requirements and factory performance. Provide the reports to the stakeholders for the tests performed. • Provide the information from trial execution related to suppliers performance on quality, deliveries and timings. • Execute prototypes according to trial plan provided by PD, ensuring the Quality and in compliance with the specification. Ensure the prototypes are analyzed by the Central Laboratory (CI) and provide the results to the stakeholders. • Perform the first production validation protocol in Primary and Secondary Processes ensuring the evaluation of statistical process control data (variables and attributes) against specifications and success criterias proposed and issue the validation report for local approval. Monitor prototype's effectiveness through checking the production adherence to the new specification and request spec change in case of need. • Initiate productivities opportunities related to materials, product and quality, perform the feasibility analysis and develop the productivities evaluation, time table, execution and follow up. • Lead special projects or initiatives related to Quality Assurance, performing a risk assessment and feasibility, and implementation of tasks, ensuring success criteria are accomplished. Who we’re looking for • Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineer or equivalent. • Overall experience: 2 years in manufacturing environment or 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance / Specifications.
