Reporting to the Financial Planning and Accounting Lead, this is a critical support role to the New Zealand team which has responsibility for ensuring all budget and actual financial information is reported timely and accurately, in accordance with strict reporting guidelines and satisfies corporate and management needs. Your ‘day to day’: • Working with Finance Shared Services, review, analyse and validate submissions from various departments during the budget process; • Provide sound financial analysis and support to departments to enable them to understand key business drivers and their impact on profit and loss; • Support value-added Finance reporting and analysis to local management team for performance results as well as key business performance gaps and opportunities; • Provide day to day support to the Financial Planning and Accountant Lead; • Assist with commercial pricing and investment analysis as well as recommendations including retail trading terms, data processing, detailing financial impacts of decisions and system management where required. Who we’re looking for: • 3-5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role, with an emphasis on the link between accounting activities and financial reporting system/applications; • Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or Business, with an Accounting Major, ideally achieved/studying towards a professional accounting certification CPA or CA; • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships; • Strong Financial Acumen and analytical skills with intermediate to advanced MS Excel and the ability to quickly pick up new systems; • Attention to detail.
