For our Manufacturing Solutions team in Bologna, Italy, we are therefore looking for a Senior Engineer, Environmental Engineering. In this position, you will drive agility and efficiency, as well as and demonstrate technology proficiency to deliver breakthrough solutions to significantly improve our sustainability performance, and therefore contribute to the transformation of PMI. You will work in projects to provide the most effective solutions regarding utilities or water treatment systems to meet productivity, quality, safety and sustainability targets. You will: • Lead or collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on global initiatives and sustainability projects within our project-based organization. Ensure the delivery of expected functionalities within the agreed time, budget and quality. Regularly supervise and assess the project progress, bring up the risks and propose solutions in a timely manner • Explore and analyze alternative solutions to bring a step change on PMI's sustainability agenda • Identify new technologies to optimize the facility energy and carbon footprints or water treatment and recycling • Contribute to enrich the sustainability skills of the department and the function to meet the sustainability challenges of the future • Use modelling tools to determine optimal utilities design and setup • Manage external partners and consortia for new utilities or water treatment solutions as well as establish high level costs for new ones or upgrades • Support the development of build-buy-borrow strategy. Apply now if you: • Have detailed knowledge and experience of concepts of Utilities design, Industry 4.0, waste modelling and water and energy management • Are skilled and experienced in leading complex projects, from Solution scouting through simulation to acceptance and qualification • Have a technical leadership background where effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams has been crucial. • Have relevant technical experience in energy, water and waste technologies • Are knowledgeable on PMI Quality Management Systems and its application to RRP processes. Other key skills: • A validated capacity to influence and bring new insights • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and being comfortable dealing with the ambiguity of the business • Conceptual and inquisitive mind • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization including PMI Senior Management • Excellent English Speaker both written and spoken.
