Your ‘day to day’ As a Senior Scientist - Product Stewardship you'll be accountable for defining the assessment strategy to fulfill regulatory and PMI internal requirements prior to human exposure and market launch of Conventional Cigarettes & Reduced Risk Products. You'll also be responsible to perform the toxicological assessment of materials and ingredients used in PMI products, gather assessment data generated on a product and provide a summary and recommendation for use in humans together with the regulatory compliance team. More specifically, you'll • Identify the scientific assessment strategy and testing requirements that is vital for commercial launch or human studies in line with available applicable product regulatory framework, with the support from Regulatory Affairs, Pre-clinical and/or Clinical teams. • Assess suitability from a safety perspective of all ingredients and materials components used in PMI products by working in close collaboration with the product development teams. • Provide expertise for the generation of chemical and biological (in vitro and in vivo) studies. Collect study outcomes from study sponsors and provide an overall decision regarding the acceptability of the product according to the established assessment strategy. • Provide input for narrative of regulatory dossiers. Who we’re looking for • MSc in biology, pharmacology, toxicology or similar area; certified education in toxicology (ERT, DABT) is an advantage; with 2 years’ experience in relevant fields of product safety assessment. • Knowledge of regulatory testing and reporting requirements for tobacco products and e-cigarettes including applicable industry standards • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken • Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving skills and initiative What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
