Join us and use your policy skills for good: to transform our business and build a smoke free future we are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Environmental & Industrial Policy to join our global External Affairs team, based in Brussels, Belgium. In this role, you will be supporting the development and coordination of our company’s overall regulatory policy. Key Activities: • Support the development and maintenance of the environmental & industrial policy toolbox to support key markets and the company’s global functions • Support the development of key strategic positions on environmental & industrial policy (e.g. data analysis, reports, advocacy materials, presentations, etc.) • Support the coordination with relevant departments within the company (e.g. experts on Sustainability, Product Development and Manufacturing, Consumer, Commercial, etc.) • Coordinate analysis and impact assessment of legislative policy proposals, reports and studies by European institutional stakeholders (environmental, social and corporate governance) and other industrial policies relevant to the company) • Support the engagement with stakeholders from industries, key 3rd parties, business associations, consultancies and EU institutions. Desired Profile: • Bachelor or master’s degree in Political Science, Public/Gov. Policy, Int’l Affairs, Business Management, Law, or related fields • Related work experience (8 years +) in Regulatory/Gov/Corporate Affairs (FMCG companies, EU institutions or consultancies) in highly regulated products • Experience on the environmental, social and corporate governance policy (ESG) area a must • Experience with business associations or EU institutions a plus • Understanding/experience of the interplay between policy & politics in the EU legislative process • Ability to develop and prepare position papers, advocacy materials and executive-level presentations that are impactful • Excellent writing skills • Good business understanding • Ability to analyze issues and develop logical, customer-centric solutions, and distill into a concise, comprehensible, and impactful narrative • Ability to manage complexity and collaboration with numerous cross-functional teams • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, agility, resilience, outcome orientation What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress!
