PMI’s shift from selling cigarettes to our new smoke-free products has changed the way we work. You’ll be solving supply chain problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world! Your ‘day to day’ • Lead the optimization of e-cigarette consumable design to optimize either the manufacturing process or consumer experience • Lead the interaction with third party suppliers and consultants to ensure successful manufacture of new plastic components • Become a specialist in the interaction between the final product and the complete manufacturing process to the level of technical leadership • Effectively run projects and teams, often comprising hierarchical peers • Present and defend projects to partners and management • Collaborate with internal partners including manufacturing centers, suppliers and other external partners. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in material science or similar field displaying deep understanding of non-metallic materials, predominantly plastics. • Proven industrial experience in designing and implementing the manufacture of plastic components, including demonstrable skill in the relevant design programs (AutoCad etc) • Specifically confirmed experience in design for manufacture of plastic components • Proven experience in product or process development in an FMCG company (5+ years) • Inquisitive nature and a hands-on approach to working • Experience in working in a multi-national environment and multi-disciplinary teams • Ability to handle ambiguity and work autonomously to tackle complex problems • Experience of project and budget management and indirect leadership • Willingness to travel and have prolonged stays on site (30%) • Willingness to work manually in a production or lab environment to build and test prototypes • Team player • Fluent English all and other languages a bonus (Polish, Italian..)
