Your 'day to day' As a Sr Scientist in the Advanced Quality Planning team, you'll work with the PMI-wide innovation teams to identify Quality Design Goals at an early stage of the product lifecycle and characterize products to ensure the Product Quality requirements are met. You'll operate in a cross functional environment to define Testing plans and Requirements to enable an efficient product development process, resulting in successful launches. More specifically, you'll • Drive risk assessment activities with cross functional specialists to de-risk innovative product and process technology executions in line with internal and external quality standards and product claims • Establish and maintain list of Critical Quality Attributes of new Reduced Risk Products • Drive the definition of science-based acceptance criteria limits of critical parameters through DoE methodology or Edge of Failure analyses • Establish and review study protocols and reports related to the characterization and definition of critical product parameter and stability endpoints • Act as SME in project stage gate meetings to ensure critical quality landmarks are identified and met • Drive the standardization of testing requirements during the development process to enable robust statistical data analyses Who we're looking for • Master’s degree in sciences or Engineering • Confirmed experience in product development of FMCG, food or pharma products • Good knowledge of risk management and Design of Experiment methodologies • Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques (e.g. aerosol analysis, HPLC, gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, image recognition) • Knowledge and understanding of product usability and consumer product safety standards is a plus • Knowledgeable in stability studies and related directives (e.g. ICH) would be an asset • Ability to translate data into insights as well as to communicate in a clear and concise manner to a non-scientific audience • Ability to deliver results on time and prioritize in a fast-paced environment • Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and leadership skills, working both independently and in a team environment • Proficient in English, both written and spoken What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
