With a proven track record in communications both internally and externally, the ability to be able to produce ambitious communications strategies and a strong eye on the future landscape, designing internal campaigns that will align with the overall PMI strategy and drive our business to understand and resonate with the change that the IT function is going through. An agency background would be an advantage, as would time spent working for a fast moving tech company – which is what PMI is becoming. Familiarity/experience in working on Technology related subjects such as Cloud, ERP, AI, IOT, data science would be a huge advantage, with a keen curiosity about new and emerging tech trends and the future landscape of technology. Strong writing skills are a must and an ability to turn the complex into plain whilst still creating an impact. If you have worked in a change environment even better, but a good grasp of the behavioral mindset of those going through change will serve you well in this role. We know that no two days are alike in comms, but here’s what you might be doing in your ‘day to day’: • Plan and execute high profile/high impact events with a particular focus on delivering to a remote audience globally, using ground breaking channels and techniques to create memorable and informative content that will showcase technology and its use within PMI. • Working together with the PMI corporate & internal communications team to ensure alignment on the use of PMI communication standards and transformation narrative • Develop and own the annual communications content plan with objectives and supporting key campaigns with measures; answering what/why/who aspects. Own the implementation of the plan; providing regular reporting on progress and results realization • Develop content to elevate the Technology (IT) function’s position inside Philip Morris International (PMI); also outlining our vision and mission i.e. to move from being a service provider to a key enabler of the Corporate Strategy • Develop content and internal platforms to execute marketing campaigns aimed at building employee engagement and communicating our IT brand and transformation message o Tell our transformation story, innovations, new ways of working etc. to build internal IT & PMI engagement o Animate communities o Build a plan to use internal content externally to attract New Talent; and/or visa versa o Support IT Leadership team with preparation for key events (townhalls, presentations in markets) o Produce content / video series related to key subjects that we are developing e.g. Woman in IT, elevating IT leadership, elevating new ways of working principles (“Thrive” 5 energies) etc. • Lead enterprise platform improvements and governance; explore new tools and channels • Lead the IT function’s overall marketing/communication/change team members through campaigns (direct team size = 3 to 4 individuals, broader team in IT = larger) • Lead creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action” • Measure and report on success of marketing campaigns • Elevate the profile of the IT leadership team This role can be based in UK or Switzerland (Lausanne).
