The Eastern Europe region of PMI covers 18 markets in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Middle East, with annual net revenues above $3.3 billion and more than 3,000 employees. It is one of the most advanced regions in penetration and growth of smoke-free products. Key responsibilities EE Region Project Portfolio 1. Actively manages and periodically updates EE Region’s portfolio of projects by establishing effective working relationships, steering and coordinating the PMO Community members across EE Markets to ensure that all initiatives have high quality of information and sound business cases. 2. Develops and implements regional project and demand creation guidelines. Ensures that the projects developed by the Markets reflect the strategic priorities agreed by the Markets with EE Region. Conducts periodic reviews to ensure that all initiatives are meeting PMI’s guidelines and EE’s strategic priorities. 3. Manages regional IT Demand cycle in accordance with PMI guidance to ensure EE markets’ investments are adequately prioritised. Key Regional Projects 4. Manages Key Regional Projects in terms of governance, content, milestone deliverables and KPIs. Ensures that EE Management Team is regularly updated with timely projects’ progress. Drives accountability of project team members. 5. Conducts identification, prioritization, and proper resourcing of key strategic projects in the EE-wide portfolio. Enables realization of these initiatives by tracking their implementation at Market level. 6. Leads 1 or 2 key projects managing cross-functional teams and defining, planning and executing milestones delivering tangible benefits on key regional strategic priorities. Ensure resources are properly alllocated, acts pro-actively to increase quality and mitigate risks. Provides succinct reporting and maintain the project Key Performance Indicators, budget and schedules. PBO (Project-Based Organisation) Deployment in EE Region 7. Owns the assessment and enhancement of PBO deployment across EE markets. Ensures that gaps are identified, and action plans are put in place to drive continuous improvement in Market-level PBO processes and governances. 8. Ensures Consumer Centricity in PMO’s activities by being the “standard bearer” for the EE Region. Collects and disseminates best practices, helps with resolving Markets’ issues by taking learnings or connecting people from different Markets, Regions, or OC teams, builds a knowledge repository on processes, tools, and activity calendars across the Markets. 9. Single point of contact for PMOs in EE Markets. Leads and coordinates EE-wide PMO Community activities (i.e., monthly meetings/calls, working sessions, trainings, etc.), and drives the EE-wide PMO agenda. EE Region Governance 10. Organises main EE regional governance meetings to ensure effective information sharing, constructive discussions and decision making in the EE regional management team. 11. Develops and manages agenda of the EE regional governance meetings, working closely with EE Regional Pesident, VP S&PD and other members of the EE management team. 12. Records and monitors execution of actions assigned on the EE governance meetings, managing the MS Teams action tracking tool. Experience and Skills Profile - Substantial experience in leading global/large scale projects and programs - Understanding of PMI’s vision of Project-Based Organisation, its Market-level and Regional implications, and required portfolio prioritization, project execution and governance methodologies. - Deep experience in turning key strategic priorities into actionable, well-defined projects, development and management of project portfolios, prioritization and resource allocation processes, and project portfolio performance tracking. - Mastery of reviewing project business cases to assess the validity of assumptions and key drivers of benefits and costs. Also, ability to provide constructive, objective feedback to project teams to make business plan improvements or challenge the necessity of initiatives. - Strong stakeholder management capabilities, including organizational savvy, influencing skills and working well with others without a direct or dotted-line reporting relationship. - Strategic thinking and analytical skills that brings holistic and structured approach to portfolio management. - Strong communication and presentation skills to position PBO ways of working as a strategic imperative for the business. - Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to develop and inspire PBO community in the region. - Organized and methodical. Maintains attention to detail even under pressure. - A self-driven professional with positive, “can do” attitude. - Enthusiastic, optimistic, energetic and tenacious, showing personal maturity and ability to handle stress Background and experience - Relevant level of experience in a top-tier strategic management consultancy developing and managing complex cross-functional international business projects - Additional experience of working in/with international consumer product or service organizations The ideal candidate would also have the below: - Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA) and/or Agile certification (e.g. Scrum Master, SAFe agilist) and additional business management qualification(s) - Russian language skills What we offer We genuinely care about our people and we show this through living out our Employee Brand each and every day.
