In P&C (People & Culture - our HR function), we have a huge part to play, defining and shaping our new customer focused culture, organising functions to work more effectively together. In this context, the Project Based Organization (PBO), Programs and Governance team is instrumental in changing the way we work in P&C. This team oversees the delivery of all programs in the P&C portfolio, ensuring alignment with PMI strategic priorities, robust governance and bringing project-based ways of working alive across our function. This team is also fully accountable to deliver, in PBO set up, our large strategic programs such as our New Performance Management system, our new ways of working as the Project Based Organization, and our Strategic Workforce Planning and the Future of Learning. As the Project Manager in this group, you and our Programs Entrepreneurs will collaborate with our business leaders to develop and deploy corporate initiatives across PMI. This highly visible position will give you the opportunity to be exposed to different leaders and stakeholders across the whole of the business. The scope of the role means that this is a tremendous growth and development opportunity for the right candidate. Specific Responsibilities Include: PROJECT PLANNING AND SCOPE DEFINITION • Understand business environment, business needs and customer brief, participate and contribute in defining business justification, benefit - risk analysis, budget and resource requirements COST & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT • Define heavy weight core team together with Entrepreneur, facilitate allocation and resource management for assigned projects based on historical information, general understanding of project tasks; anticipate and mobilize cross functional resources when required. • Manage multicultural and cross-functional project teams without direct line of supervision, as well as internal and external resources for the activities of each project. Train, direct and coach stream leads in order to develop the team. • Co-Lead OB/LRP preparation with project entrepreneur, meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. PROJECT EXECUTION • Drive end-to-end project management and execution, ensuring effective project delivery. Ensure robust and transparent development process adhering to stage gate deliverables and best practices. • Ensure SNOW becomes a business management tool through proactive and timely project updates. • Drive delivery to time and quality in line with global practices, tools, and innovation framework. • Own the risk assessment, evaluate impact to the project and lead the prioritization. Identify the resolution and contingency measures. • Drive the resolution of complex project related issues by analyzing, identifying, facilitating recommendations to achieve optimal solutions. CONTROL AND VALIDATION • Conduct regular progress reviews within respective counterparts ensuring timely and data driven decision making, effective resource allocation, cost management and adherence to estimated benefits. • Serve as trusted advisor for project stakeholders and senior management on project management issues, provide accurate and realistic project status reports and other project information on a regular basis. Ensure timely and adequate communication to enable organizational focus and effectiveness. • Active participant in key project governance forums along with the Entrepreneur. CLOSE OUT AND EVALUATION • Identify improvement opportunities enhancing efficiency, planning time, workload, etc. and lead best-practice and sharing between PMO functions. AGILE AND WINNING ORGANIZATION • Improve the ways of working, foster a collaborative culture to influence positive e-NPS within the Program team • Act as a change agent to ensure the organization and project teams follow PBO/Agile principles. Critical Capabilities: • The incumbent will manage large and complex cross functional projects. Therefore, a solid understanding of various critical functions/systems to deliver End to End projects. • The candidate must have first-hand experience with innovation processes and project management as demonstrated by at least 8 years of experience. Project management certification (PMP) is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate leadership abilities, experience managing large teams and complex projects, a can-do attitude, attention to details, discipline, solid communication skills, and ability to resolve conflicts.
