Your ‘day to day’ As a Project Manager – Eco Design and Product Circularity to the Head of Sustainability, you will drive the development, implementation, and governance of product design sustainability and ensure each new development considers the implications of sustainability, lead teams, designing and executing scientific, engineering, business model development, or other functional tasks related to product end of life programs and the circular economy, as well as support and lead sustainability programs across the product lifecycle, ensuring adequate measures to report on and monitor progress to targets and objectives. More specifically, you will: • Drive implementation of sustainable design practices and solutions across various platforms, project and functional teams (internal and external). • Coordinate the implementation of eco-design requirements, develop governance and monitor progress according to PMIs Sustainability targets ( • Develop and deliver sustainability product performance evaluations (such as life cycle assessments - LCA) within the development stage gate process and serve as a SME on all aspects of sustainable design. • Supervise, implement and govern end-of life programs, including recycling improvements and program management, support circular economy models for material reuse in open and closed loop systems. • Closely monitor market industry evolution and propose new solutions for new products, processes systems. • Act as a specialist in the design, development, control or/and the implementation of complex product and process quality practices where few known precedents exist and apply sound engineering solutions to meet the PMI technical and business needs • Represent the product sustainability team on assigned product developments and sustainability programs, and provide necessary input and expertise, ensure compliance to PMI company standards, technical norms and laws related to Smoke-Free Device and activities executed accordingly to QMS processes. Who we’re looking for • Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering, material science, environmental science or other related fields • Substantial industry experience, ideally with people management exposure, in product Sustainability Evaluations and Measurement (Life Cycle Assessment, Circular Economy), as well as in product design, preferably within the consumer electronics industry, in a supply chain and manufacturing environment. Demonstrated working knowledge of sustainable design methodologies and their implementation • Confirmed project management skills with an emphasis on schedule, scope, results and budget. Ability to build effective teams and foster a strong collaborative culture internally and with suppliers • Strong problem solving and organizational capabilities coupled with validated leadership skills, ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. Sound expertise in engaging proactively and seizing opportunities • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
