You’ll be solving supply chain problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world. Your ‘day to day’ • Creates visibility on the as-is for Import/Export and Primary Distribution through targeted data gathering, should-cost analysis and simulations to identify improvement opportunities. Supports network modelling and redesign projects and closely monitors volume, portfolio, cost-to-serve and channel developments to assess impact and opportunities. • Prepares an implementation project plan for selected initiatives and supports the regional Logistics Control Towers and markets in the execution. • Leads monthly PDCA sessions to ensure timely execution of the main initiatives in line with productivity and net cost improvement targets. • Knows first-hand the levers that drive optimization and is able to actively apply them in global transport operations including but not limited to mode of transportation, fill rate, security, inco terms and tendering. Is pro-active in the assessment of PMI standards and operating procedures that layout the security and quality requirements for transportation and handling. Where appropriate challenges these standards through target research and data gathering. • Operates in close collaboration with functions such as Customer Service, Logistics Control Tower, (Operations) Strategy and Logistics Procurement to ensure cross-functional alignment on the global transportation strategy and local deployment. • Defines, implements and achieves annual critical metrics on Import/Export and Primary Distribution as per Global Supply Chain Operations targets. • Leads the development and deployment of skills & toolsets across the organization, to build in-house capabilities and to secure a systematic and sustainable approach to optimization of in-market distribution. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and /or APICS type of Certifications in the subject matter area • 10+ years of expertise in regional / global transportation management, preferably in a multinational environment within FMCG or Consumer Electronics and/or 4PL providing Logistics Control Tower type of services • Hands-on experience in the optimization of transport operations and transport management processes • Proven track record of results delivery across cost and service level critical metrics What we offer: • Our success depends on the people who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
