Your ‘day to day’ • Increase awareness of RRPs and the strategic messages, spreading relevant conversations amongst key communities. • Support and execute the overall Communications plans for the Dominican Republic and Caribbean’s subsidiaries. • Build a solid and sustained storytelling fully aligned with company’s vision. • Help the management to understand in which conversations Philip Morris International needs to keep focus and identify which are the new conversations to participate and how, in order to support the business development. • Work closely with the local management team, the regional Communications Director and peers in order to contribute to the strategic and creative development of communications strategies and its deployment. Accountabilities • Participate in the development, decision-making and deployment of the overall communications plan for Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, based on the strategy and objectives of the business, sharing and creating engagement throughout all organization departments and levels, following the communications guidelines and utilizing the supporting tools developed at Regional level. • Liaise with Region to identify/improve/standardize appropriate communication tools and channels and propose communication concrete actions and present measurable results. Continuously identify and share best-practices in communication amongst other communication peers throughout the region. • Ensure effective communication and implementation & follow-up of all local key messages (Ops Survey participation, PMI values, Business Updates, etc.) in order to ensure engagement with key communities and audiences, underpinning all Objectives and Strategies. • Continuously build a durable network of key local stakeholders in order to: • position the Company as the most responsible and reliable tobacco company in the country • enhance the Company’s awareness and presence among the local community; • develop the Company’s image as good corporate citizen. • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the communications plan, ensuring regular review and reporting of specific communications performance with the Management Team, in order to ensure a successful execution. Ensure regular assessment of the main communication campaigns in order to identify if the excepted results have been achieved and act accordingly. • Permanently innovate and incorporate the newest communication formats, channels and standards. Take responsibility for developing digital communication actions in order to engage with key communities. Manage to monitor social media conversations and the digital environment overall, delivering alerts and reporting as needed. • Periodically participate in the development of relevant and specific regional projects that will be planned and designed in coordination with the regional communications team. Ensure the successful implementation and support. • Manage and coordinate the day to day support of a regional communications agency in order to keep them on track of the key projects, campaigning, reporting, monitoring and the development of communications materials. Periodically assess agency’s performance aligned with the highest standards of Philip Morris International regional agencies. • Define suitable KPIs in order to objectively measure the development of the communication plans, specific projects and department’s evolution. Periodically report the management with comprehensive and concrete figures and analyses becoming a top communications consultant within the organization. Who we’re looking for • College/University master’s degree in Communication, Economics, Political Science or Law. • Fluent in English. • +5 years of experience in a communications role in multinational companies (tech industries, pharma, consumer goods sector, would be preferred). • Agency experience is a plus. • Proven strategic communications counsellor to senior business leaders; strong problem-solving skills and project management capabilities; inspiring leader who pushes team to think differently; enjoys collaborating and working as part of a large, matrixed organization. Customer centric. • Experience managing direct / indirect teams or agencies.
