Domain Architect – Consumer Department To commercialize and expand our new reduce risks products, we are building and rolling out globally a new IT platform. Our consumer and retailer engagement platforms provide the best consumer experience in the end-to-end consumer journey from product discovery, commerce, device registration to after sales. Domain architects are in charge of defining technology for new capabilities, improving and simplifying current landscape and ensuring platforms non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance or extensibility. Your ‘day to day’ As a domain architect responsible for practices of development, assurance and NFRs across all IT Consumer and Commercial, you will need to ensure all phases of software engineering are efficient and operate with maximum flexibility to satisfy our consumer expectations. Your accountabilities will encompass mentorship on how best levering SaaS or IaaS (like Salesforce or custom micro-services on AWS), making standards on release management (e.g. to avoid downtime, to decouple for agility, to enable localization) or translating SEO & Accessibility needs to IT practices with accurate tooling & automation. It also includes non-functional requirements framework ownership across 5 chapters (architecture, data, quality assurance, operation, and security) in which you will define KPIs, way of working, contractual aspects with system integrators, and in some areas such as performance testing, down to the technical tooling required. In that context, you must be very experience on the technical side but also in term of evangelization, organisational change and horizontal leadership to evolve the practice to a significant team deploying global platforms – consider 20+ mio consumer using the platform in 60+ markets with a team of few hundreds of IT professionals building and operating it. Responsibilities: • Define all NFR’s to guaranty the quality of the delivered platform. • Build measurements and ensure NFRs are respected through all phases of product development. • Define ways of working and guidelines for all technical areas of software engineering, design, development, test, deployment, operation, and support. • Own development and engineering guidelines you will have developed with external SMEs (Salesforce, AWS, Micro-services, observability, branching strategy, accessibility, etc.) • Ensure all teams can adhere to the guidelines and maintain a reporting mechanism depicting the level of consistency to the defined technical procedures. • Promote the adoption of the practices and framework across all scrum’s teams and platforms • Lead innovation projects and proof of concept work to continuously evolve the practices • Take ownership for the robustness and maintainability of the tools in place to support the software engineering process. Who we’re looking for: • 10+ years’ experience in architecture work in a large FMCG environment or software companies. • Demonstrated ability in building, launching and growing products • Experience working with global digital engagement platforms with global geographical deployment • Demonstrable and up-to-date knowledge of engineering in 2 languages (E.g. Java and Python) and on top of a SaaS (like Salesforce) • Knowledge and usage of architecture principles regarding Non-Functional Requirements, 7 factors apps, SOLID, AWS Well Architected framework, … • Detailed knowledge of agile/scrum development method and knowledge of tooling and implementation of CI/CD, software assurance and ideally large-scale migration. • Multifaceted, confident personality with the ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals • Consistent track record in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments • Organizational skills to work on multiple initiatives with tight deadlines effectively • Great teammate with proven track record to lead through influence What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
