YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’ The Senior Specialist P&C Operations will be responsible for overseeing and supervising PMK’s payroll function, ensuring employees’ pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Payroll Delivery includes: Payroll, Statutory Employment Tax & Social Insurances payments, Pension Administration, Time & Attendance processing, MOEL / internal audit (as required) and Employee Data Privacy compliance. • Manage the accurate and timely delivery of payroll for all PMK employees to ensure employees receive their salary and benefit payments, with appropriate statutory deductions applied and statutory payments made. • Act as the PMK subject matter expertise for payroll related matters. Payroll Delivery • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing and systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions. • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. • Ensure timely responses to employee inquires related to payroll delivery (Call, emails, etc), ensuring timely resolution and escalation (as necessary). • Monitor and manager vendor performance to ensure delivery to agreed performance standards. • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions, including monthly payroll audits. • Partner with Global Mobility on Expat payroll matters or issues escalation as they relate to local payroll processing, including internal/ external audits. Governance & Controls • Ensure all aspects of Payroll Delivery are compliant (as applicable) with prevailing statutory legislation, company policies and best practices. This includes the identification, interpretation and application of prevailing employment, employment tax and social insurance legislation. • Establish systematic regime to assess compliance of payroll to firmwide control standards, both PMI Chart of Controls and Control Self-Assessment. Identify plans to close gaps in delivery to be compliant with required standards. • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to both internal and external auditors (as required). • Manage Payroll Governance activities between P&C, Finance and Risk & Controls functions. Service Experience • Responsible for achieving payroll-related target key performance indicators, operational level agrees and service levels to internal customers and stakeholders. • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing systems and procedures. Collaborate with Manager Payroll Delivery Asia and Payroll Delivery & Time Product Managers to drive towards standardization of payroll processes across PMI. Other Duties • Performs other P&C Operations duties as required to support integrated delivery to PMK employees. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Engineering, preferably Masters Degree in Business, Finance or Engineering • Business accounting and/ or employee tax professional qualifications a plus • Prior experience in a similar role at a MNC or complex payment/ finance processing operations or employee tax operations. • Controls/ Risk Management Skills • Strong Process Management Skills (Define, Assess and Monitor) • Understanding of Korean Labor, Employment Tax and Social Insurance regulatory requirements: • End consumer experience/ Service orientation • Able to solve problems and recommend solutions to improve tools and processes • Knowledge HR Operations delivery • Stakeholder engagement: Responsive, Collaborative • Business Acumen: Storytelling through data • Strong communication skills in Korean & English WHAT WE OFFER Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
