YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’ As Senior CAPEX Analyst, you will be part of CAPEX department for Philip Morris International and will be reporting to the Regional CAPEX Manager. The position will be based in Bologna (Italy). A key responsibility will be to provide support in the CAPEX area to ensure availability of financial information timely for management’s decision making and smooth actual and budgeting processes. He/she will also support initiation and execution of CAPEX projects through comprehensive financial and business analysis of proposed initiatives and preparation of executive summary and approval forms for management in line with PMI Guidelines. In this role, the CAPEX Analyst will be responsible for: • Prepare Original Capital Expenditure budget and variance analysis, depreciation and project related expenses forecast for OB submission. • Provide timely updates to CAPEX and overheads budgets via RF process. • Maintain accurate control and reporting over capital expenditure and to support control over company Fixed Assets. Finally, the CAPEX Analyst will be responsible to provide constant support to all affiliates and functions, and increase financial awareness within these organizations. Specific responsibilities include: Provide necessary training and communications to other departments in order to increase knowledge within the company on CAPEX guidelines and promote efficient spending of company funds. Continuously increase knowledge on project appraisal methods, company operations and information systems in order to develop further management of capital expenditure and adopt it when required to the changes of company objectives Provide support to management in ad hoc tasks as required. Prepare the capital expenditure (CAPEX) and disposal requests, ensuring that each proposal clearly and accurately addresses all the relevant aspects of the project in order to facilitate the decision making process. Maintain control over project expenditure in SAP. Collect data on Capital expenditures within Original Budget cycle. Reporting: Provide management with status reports on capital expenditures. Revise capital expenditure and project related expenses / depreciation forecast via monthly Rolling Forecast process. Financial systems: Maintain the consistency and accuracy of the financial data in the Financial Systems to ensure proper, accurate and timely reflection of financial data. Also, ensure proper technical month-end closing in SAP-P1 in line with internal procedures and schedules. Requirements & Skills: • An action-oriented, problem solver with fluent English and a university degree in area of Finance, Economics and Engineering. • A person with accounting knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office tools (particularly advanced in MS Excel) • A professional with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accountancy in an international company demonstrating strong analytical, presentation as well as data reporting skills • Familiar in using financial integrated system, preferably SAP • Knowledge of fixed assets accounting will be an additional advantage • Entrepreneurship, positive attitude, attention to details • Fluent English is a requirement Type of contract: permanent Recruiter: Rita Gherardi Relocation package offered WHAT WE OFFER Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
