For our manufacturing plant in Bergen op Zoom we are looking for a hands-on and energetic: Manager Technical Services THE OPPORTUNITY In your role as Manager Technical Services you will manage, lead and organize all activities related to the establishment of the maintenance strategy, production stability and performance improvement across the entire production areas, logistics & utilities operations while building the technical capabilities of the organization. You will lead the transformation of Technical services organization to support Philip Morris Integrated Operating System (IOS) ‘OPEN+’ while ensuring safety, quality, cost, productivity and other applicable KPI’s & standards. ACCOUNTABILITIES • Ensure compliance to all applicable policies, procedures and legal requirements concerning Sustainability / Health, Safety & Environment • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System and drive process improvement initiatives in collaboration with Production, Engineering and Quality department • Develop and execute maintenance plans per defined frequencies to achieve stability & reliability of production equipment • Define and adhere to asset management strategies in short-term and LRP horizon for existing and new equipment to produce quality product while maximizing equipment performance • Coordinate with production departments to ensure efficient equipment and spare parts utilization based on their risk profile, minimal downtimes and optimal personnel utilization • Define and recommend the maintenance budget and keep a close control on all expenses. Identify opportunities in terms of maintenance to reduce cost. • Collaborate with stakeholders including OEMs, suppliers, contractors, Philip Morris affiliates and COE functions to drive improvements related to equipment performance • Responsible for building technical capabilities and expertise of production and maintenance organization (both mechanical & electrical) to drive business results • Ensure process control systems of equipment are efficient. Develop and implement strategy for control systems maintenance and upgrades (when needed) • Develop and maintain a high performance team in the department through providing direction, establishing and communicating expectations, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback • Ensure adherence of OPEN+ system while leading and deploying Progressive Maintenance Pillar throughout the organization • Enhance the capabilities of technical services organization, identify needs for training and development thus contributing to professional growth of employees • Ensure efficient communication, through all the levels of organization, by developing effective working relationships with all employee groups with the aim to create a positive attitude toward an improvement culture. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS To be successful in your new role as Manager Technical Services you need: • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering; or relevant & equivalent technical degrees • More than 5 years of experience in a similar managerial position in a production or manufacturing environment; • Strong managerial, analytical skills and problem solving attitude; • Fluent command of the English and Dutch language; As a person, you can be described as a good communicator with a strong customer focus. You have the ability to organize, manage, and prioritize your work while keeping a focus on the results.
