For our manufacturing plant in Bergen op Zoom we are looking for a hands on and energetic: Business Unit Manager EPC THE OPPORTUNITY In your role as Business Unit Manager EPC you will manage, lead and organize all production related activities related to PMI biggest Expanded Tobacco Processing Center. This dynamic Business Unit is on the eve of a great challenge! It is not only a vast process that works with unique equipment and systems, but the department is deploying Integrated Operating System (IOS) named as OPEN+. You will lead the transformation of this Business Unit to build capabilities of its organization while delivering safety, quality, cost, productivity and other applicable KPI’s & standards. ACCOUNTABILITIES • Ensure compliance to all applicable policies, procedures and legal requirements concerning Sustainability / Health, Safety & Environment • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System and drive process improvement initiatives in collaboration with Quality and Technical Services department • Support the Manufacturing annual master plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale goals in line with the site Compelling business need • Lead and be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Business Unit- identify, attract, retain & develop critical talent and builds capability at all levels • Define and recommend the departmental budget and keep a close control on all expenses. Identify opportunities in terms of production to optimize cost • Collaborate with stakeholders including Philip Morris affiliates and COE functions to drive & re-apply improvements related to manufacturing processes • Collaborate with Technical Services and Engineering to shape equipment maintenance strategy and CAPEX opportunities for efficiency improvement, capacity enhancement and waste reduction • Liaison with contractors/ service providers to ensure services related to cleaning and handling are being adequately achieved as per SLAs • Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning to develop yearly, monthly and weekly production plans while securing alignment with constantly evolving customers demand and changes in blend portfolio • Develop and maintain a high performance team in the department through providing direction, establishing and communicating expectations, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback • Ensure adherence of OPEN+ system while deploying Autonomous Maintenance Pillar throughout the Business Unit as per OPEN+ Phase progression • Enhance the capabilities of organization, identify needs for training and development thus contributing to professional growth of employees • Ensure efficient communication, through all the levels of organization, by developing effective working relationships with all employee groups with the aim to create a positive attitude toward an improvement culture REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS To be successful in your new role as Business Unit Manager EPC you need: • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering; or relevant & equivalent technical degrees • 8-10 years of experience in production area within FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar industry of which at least 5 years in a managerial role • Strong managerial, analytical skills and problem solving attitude; • Fluent command of the English; Proficiency in Dutch will be a plus; As a person, you can be described as a good communicator with a strong customer focus and adaptability towards evolving needs. You have the ability to organize, manage, and prioritize your work while keeping a focus on the results.
