Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Consumer PR Manager will be responsible for leading the consumer-facing communications campaigns to publicize PMI's products and brands. The role is responsible for developing a strategic PR strategy and identifying opportunities to educate consumers around company product launches and events. The role should possess strong ability to create relevant and timely messages and content and use a variety of communications programs to keep media and consumers informed and engaged. This role should have demonstrated expertise in media relations, solid experience in product launch initiatives and consumers. This role will manage a team that collaborates closely with the commercial, product and PR leaders to launch and provide ongoing strategic communications support for key products and services initiatives. Accountability - Develop and execute a strategic consumer communications strategy aligned to business and marketing objectives - Understanding of consumer media market with solid experience of creative storytelling and developing, pitching and securing stories, and deploying communications campaigns across paid, earned and owned media - Skilled in developing campaigns and plans to engage media and bloggers - Write strategic plans, messaging and press materials, pitch and secure top media including print, online and broadcast - Build excellent relationships with media - Measure and report the effectiveness of Consumer PR programs - Lead and coach the Consumer PR team to implement the Consumer Communications Plan Required Work Experience - Minimum 10 years of professional experience with proven records in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Communications, Journalism and Public Relations. - Experience working across multiple levels, able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing. - Experience and success in leading and developing teams Required Skillset - Ability to work at all levels of the organization - Ability to develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas - Solid relationship with key consumer and lifestyle media - Strong marketing background - Team oriented – ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills Required Education - Bachelor or related certification
