External Affairs and Communications play a vital role in influencing public opinions so that lawmakers make policy and regulatory decisions that support our mission of a smoke-free future. In order for our submissions to regulators to be persuasive, or for our external engagement initiatives to resonate, our credibility is of paramount importance. Your ‘day to day’: • Design and deploy a strategy which enables PMI and PM CYPRUS’ corporate transformation and positions on the regulatory and fiscal regime for Reduced Risk Products (RRPs) to reach all corresponding audiences • Support the positions of PMI and PM CYPRUS with regards to regulatory and fiscal framework for RRPs • Build and develop an active network of media contacts • Closely monitor the fiscal and regulatory development both locally and at the EU level in order to develop relevant narratives that support the positions of the company • Handle media inquiries, prepare interviews, speeches, and presentation materials. Support members of the management team at public events • Create content, from idea to end-result, and combine with an all-channels strategy, while orchestrating its execution, matching channels with audiences • Work closely with all PM CYPRUS functions to understand the business, their work and needs, in order to accurately and timely address them • Represent the Company as a spokesperson and ensure that its views and positions are conveyed to the public and the media in a factual and timely manner • Align with other markets to create synergies and amplify messages Who we’re looking for: • Academic Background: University degree in Political Science , International Relations, Business, Media or Communications • A minimum of 8 years in a similar position. Previous experience in politics will be considered a plus. A media background would also contribute positively • Experience in a multi-cultural and fast-moving environment • Skilled in communication, collaboration, leadership, strategy • A natural ability to network and a firm belief in life-long learning.
