For our Security / Market Safety team in Bologna we are looking for a Manager Portfolio and Planning, Security & Market Safety. The Manager Portfolio & Planning supports the global Security & Market Safety organization by pioneering, deploying, and sustaining processes, methodologies, and tools to enable our global mission to effectively manage security, safety, sustainability, and occupational health risks across PMI. In this position you will: Project Portfolio Management: • Works in close coordination with S&MS program leaders, regional heads, and project leaders—and cross-functionally as needed—to refine project and program management methodology, templates, and tools—consistent with Operations/OPEN+ methodologies and industry best practices • Monitors the execution of projects with high importance and impact, to ensure alignment with S&MS strategy and resourcing, including financial resources and talent pool. Ensures that projects are initiated, planned, executed, closed, and results/impacts/value are measurable/measured • Establishes a process for project initiation/pipeline review, approval, and prioritization by S&MS leadership, including business case documentation • Utilizes industry and PMI/Operations practices and tools to ensure global S&MS visibility and information flow on project milestones, project health/quality, and results/value delivery • Serves as champion of project management methodology. Provides/coordinates relevant training for project leaders and team members, and ensures adherence across the S&MS organization Ways of Working and Process Improvement: • Proactively identifies, recommends, deploys, and sustains new ways of working, processes, methods, tools, and automation to improve/streamline Security & Market Safety efficiency, speed, performance measurability, and results delivery • Refines and streamlines PBO capabilities within the S&MS organization, driving towards seamless integration across current and future S&MS programs • Develops, implements, and or/maintains key performance/quality indicators and related metrics/measurements to support data-driven and risk-based decision-making • Contributes to a culture of accountability, ownership, standardization, and continuous improvement by ensuring appropriate and effective governance and assurance processes are deeply embedded across all levels of the S&MS organization We’re looking for someone with: • University degree and 8+ years in a project/portfolio management role, preferably with regional or global experience • Previous international work experience and/or experience operating in a regional or global role with significant cross-cultural exposure • Program and/or management skills; experience with innovation processes and project management gained within international companies. Project Management Professional (PMP) or a related certification is a strong plus • Ability to build consensus across a matrixed organization; strong interpersonal skills • Ability to demonstrate a balance between initiative and receiving and adapting to continuous feedback • Past experience creating content including policies and procedures. • Full professional proficiency in English; additional language skills a plus but not required • Ability to model and interpret data; exposure to data analytics use case scenarios and practices • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Previous international work experience preferred What we offer Our success depends on the people who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
