We are looking for a Data Scientist to become a part of our commercial digital team who will work in İstanbul and be responsible for designing & implementing data models to transform data to actionable business insights. Read further if you want to learn what the main responsibilities of the role are: •Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis together with selecting features, building and optimizing data models with machine learning techniques. •Perform data mining/statistical analysis, predictive modeling from various data sources & link to create insights that can be used for commercial activity improvement •Align with business stakeholders on the business needs, decide on the appropriate Model & KPIs, present the project status and results in a business friendly way. •Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed and enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems •To lead the development of a cutting edge data architecture merging descriptive to behavioral and structured to unstructured data sources. •Work hand in hand with IT & other related parties to deploy the models into prod. enviroments and maintain the up&running models. You: •Have at least 2-3 years professional working experience in Data Science with proven record. •Strong exploratory data analysis ,visualisation, applied statistics(hyphothesis testing, causal inference, experimental design) and feature engineering skills •Hands on experience in data preparation pipelines, data modelling with machine learning techniques •Strong coding & modelling experience in Python •Proficiency in using SQL & experience with NoSQL databases •Experience with distributed environments is a plus •Strong business understanding and judgement •Excellent communication & data storytelling skills to both technical & non-technical audience •BS or MS degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, MIS or other related quantitative fields. Due to COVID-19, this role will start as a remote position, but it will transfer to our HQ either partially or fully, after we start to work from the office again.
