PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Trusted business partner within the finance department; holds the deep business knowledge needed to translate business inputs into the company financial actions which will: • Ensure relevant, accurate and comprehensive information, reports and analysis of the market and competitive environment as well as analysis of internal business performance are provided to key stakeholders • Support key decision makers in pro-actively identifying business opportunities to enhance overall business performance • Coordinate preparation of Strategic business plans and Original Budget/Long range Plan budgeting processes • Use insights to contribute to build business scenarios • Enable valuable investment decisions along Consumer Centric Organisation ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: BUSINESS PLANNING & SUPPORT FOR STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT • Monitor market developments, research, and analyze market intelligence data to support development of business strategies and plans • Contribute to strategy development and provide advice to management teams in order to achieve short and long-term business objectives • Provide insights and additional performance information when requested by regional and/or local management. • Lead and participate in business discussions with the Management Team • Translate strategic plan into operational business plan and financial plans which support local market strategy and regional priorities • Support an integrated business plan connecting all commercial activities - connect the dots enterprise-wide • Drive conversion of the consumer journey into financials and integrate into business plan • Support the commercialization strategy of RRP in Market • Understand and analyze macro-economic environment and market data as input to preparation of proposals and feasibility studies • Be the face to external partners and key contact point within the organization • Manage local data governance to ensure alignment with PMI standards BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PRICING • Support Area management in proactively identifying business development and pricing opportunities in order to assure sustainable business growth and incremental profitability • Contribute to business development projects by supporting market management in planning and developing strategies to address business opportunities MARKET AND COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE • Gather and analyze information concerning macro-economics, socio-demographics, market and industry trends, regulatory changes. Prepare comprehensive overview and alert management on key developments. • Deliver and maintain up-to-date information regarding competitors’ business strategies (pricing and brand portfolio) as well as performance analysis of key competitors, in order to forecast potential competitors' actions and implications for PMI.   PRODUCTIVITY AND SUPPLY CHAIN QUALITY ENHANCEMENT • Manage supply processes, covering shipment forecasting, planning to ensure high level of accuracy of forecast and high quality of service to internal stakeholders. • Recommend changes in business processes to drive continuous improvement, increase productivity and quality levels in the markets. HQ REPORTING SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE • Ensure timely submission of all data inputs into the PMI global reporting system. • Ensure the information is accurate, up-to-date and relevant.   COMMERCIAL FINANCE / SCENARIO MODELLING • Partner with commercial teams to define ROI of initiatives and drive/support investment decisions and define metrics and targets • Provide with decision options to improve business results, based on clear commercial and other functional (e.g., fiscal) drivers • Contribute to build business/commercial scenario with high level Finance impact • Identify trends and patterns to maximize channels ROI, based on data (e.g., ensure optimize channel mixes) • Contribute to Business Development activities where require, including analyses of market data as input to new business proposal and feasibility studies • Partner with Commercial Management team to deliver key business presentations, including Business review and Strategy presentations AD-HOC PROJECTS • Collect, co-ordinate and analyze business data, market and sales related information and ensure accurate and relevant content in order to assist the organization or regional management in decision making, strategy development or feasibility studies/ proposals. • Participate in ad-hoc projects and/or task forces. Who we’re looking for • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably CA or CIMA is preferred • Post graduate qualifications in the above are highly regarded. • 6+ years’ management experience in Finance, Business Development & Planning/Strategic Analyst roles within FMCG. • Previous experience in a Budget & Reporting function is required • Demonstrated experience conceptualizing analytics solutions to business problems • Demonstrated experience making actionable strategic recommendations from large data sets • Strong reporting experience • A high level of comfort in Advance MS excel with interactive dashboard experience is necessary • Proven strong storytelling experience • Demonstrated cross-functional expertise, strong communication skills as well as ability to operate independently are essential • An understanding of Investment/new business analytics (new business visibility studies), resource allocation • Prior experience in introduction of new products/categories • Digital experience would be an advantage (moving from brick and mortar to ecommerce) The candidate should possess: • Innovative thinking and an ability to think outside the box, high intellectual capacity, open to change, willing to challenge and the ability manage stakeholders • Strong communicator and at ease with presenting feedback on all levels • Analytical thinking and learning agility • Problem solving • Drive for results • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Demonstrated Customer Service Orientation and Teamwork • Knowledge of the Project Management Lifecycle • Work independently • Excellent communication and presentation skills • MS Office (in particular, Excel and PowerPoint)
