To know more about PMI and why it is a great place to work, check out the following link: Your ‘day to day’ As a Sr IP Officer – Drug Device you'll define Intellectual Property (IP) technical & partnering strategy related to Drug Device Development. You'll also ensure the development and management of IP rights arising from these products and technologies, leading all aspects of the growth and maintenance of the various patent portfolios. Apart from these, you'll act as point of contact with central IP Management Department. More specifically, you'll • Define and implement an IP technical and partnering strategy: assess and valuate inventions, fill gaps in the portfolio and drive pruning activities • Lead the IP creation process, drive effective conceptualization, innovation creation and invention capturing, ensure the safekeeping of related inventions • Lead the design thinking and related design for manufacturing, support product innovation and its optimization for manufacturability towards targeted quality and costs • Identify and capture potential inventions from within the functions or resulting from collaborations with third parties, driving the timely preparation and filing of Invention Disclosures • Manage all capture activities in scope for the IP Management group, supporting the IP team in building and maintaining portfolios of patents and other IPs • Ensure seamless transition of invention capture from the IP Management group to the Patents Legal group. Regularly report out monthly highlights and quarterly updates related to the internal portfolio. • Manage IP strategies by providing comprehensive and focused patent evaluations of relevance to PMI strategy and inventions. Provide feedback to different partners and increase IP participation throughout the organization. Who we’re looking for • Master's degree or PhD in relevant subject (Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/Aerosol Physics etc.) or equivalent • Demonstrable experience as Rx IP Manager, typically in engineering / science fields, Intellectual Property, Technology Management and Manufacturing Design, Creativity and Innovation Management in a multinational environment. Exposure to medical device or drug product industry is a must have • Great teammate, able to excel at building trusting relationships with partners and colleagues • Ability to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken What we offer Our success depends on the people of all genders who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
