Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will support the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) in Hong Kong. The impact of this role stems from three key pillars: Asset Lifecycle Management • Building a solid process to assess the cost of our assets and investments and establish relevant controls and performance monitoring, • (i) Documentation and performance monitoring of all our EMS based equipment/ fixtures, Tier 2 tooling and embed triggers for preventive / predictive maintenance • (ii) End of Life Management - Collaborate with EMS Operations and relevant stakeholders to assess options (e.g. Redeployment vs. disposal) • (iii) Improve reporting to enable smoother auditing, budgeting and compliance activities / checks Strategic Cost Management • Lead the cost reporting process to ensure transparency, consistency and timeliness, • Improve cost visibility of our investments & assets through monthly analysis and reports and supporting RF process • Rapid RFI / RFQ Analysis leading to key highlights for improvement prior to supplier allocation / selection • Lead in driving and monitoring cost prevention. • Prepare, review and obtain approval of investment budget for new projects Value Engineering & Analysis • Ensure that new projects reflect a strong value proposition to consumers at the best production cost possible • Lead Lean Engineering workshops and initiatives to minimize waste in the manufacturing process • Develop total cost analysis frameworks ./ models (integrating purchasing, maintenance, storing, insurance, taxes etc.) • Develop and promote key tools and processes to continuously improve the value engineering process (e.g. robust fact base, clean-sheet template, value stream mapping, balanced scorecard) Who we’re looking for • University degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, or Finance • Minimum 8 years or above working experience in costing and project management • Strong Project Management, with ability to lead development / improvement of Project Management tools and process • Experience in electronics or plastics / metals industry and contract manufactures is required • Experience developing automated cost models, cost database, cost factors, and/or cost estimating relationships is a plus • Network, database, information systems, or software development understanding is a plus • Consistently displays a customer centric approach to work and highly adaptable to changes and ambiguity • Creative thinker that is able to anticipate changes and produce solutions • Comfortable to work in dynamic cross-functional teams and in a multi-cultural environment • Advance proficiency in MS Excel • Project Management and working knowledge of Tableau / Power BI is a plus • Fluent English is a must What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
