Your ‘day to day’ As a Sr Scientist - Statistician you will support the Regulatory and Standard management team by providing statistical mentorship and conducting statistical analyses in the context of product performance scientific assessment in line with our internal change management process, and according to applicable external standards and regulations for conventional and reduced-risk products, as well as develop, deploy, and maintains systems aligned with applicable external/internal standards and regulations. More specifically, you'll • Provide statistical direction, deploy standardized statistical approaches. Develop and implement good statistical practices/reporting in the context of product standard and product regulatory assessment and reporting, as well as innovative statistical principles, technologies, and assessment store process to expand the product assessment tools and to foster a data-driven decision-making process. Establish statistical reviews and consolidates data, provide guidance for product assessments in continuous improvement activities. • Support the establishment of product performance assessment (“design spaces”) to secure regulatory, fiscal, legal, and product category standards objectives, and validate all relevant requirements through Change Management and Product Assessment Management processes. Deploy, validate, and maintain standard procedures for data assessment. • Provide guidance for sampling procedures, specifically in the application of ISO 2859 and 3951 acceptance sampling standards, ISO 8243. Develop and maintain product competitive benchmarking program and provide technical and scientific input to Pre- and Post-Market product performance assessment. Who we’re looking for • Master’s Degree/PhD in statistics, mathematics, or other relevant areas. • Substantial relevant industrial work experience in statistics, analysing, processing, and extracting value from complex and large data sets. Demonstrated understanding of basic statistical principles (descriptive, inferential, sampling, statistical process control) and complex statistical methodologies (machine learning, multivariate analysis), in a different application domains and study designs. • Advanced knowledge in statistical programming languages, such as, SAS, R is a must. Expertise with other statistical software (e.g., JMP, Minitab) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) are desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Sound knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 2859 and 3951, ASTM, ISO 5725, ISO 8243, ICH) • Good data visualization skills, to translate customers’ needs into relevant outputs. Ability to translate data into insights as well as to communicate in a clear and concise manner to a non-scientific audience. Interest and capability in training others. • Experience working in a regulated environment with scientific interactions and engagement. Action oriented, ability to plan/set priorities and lead multiple projects simultaneously. Customer focus and excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills, working both independently and in a team environment. • Proficient in spoken and written English is a must.
