As IOT Cloud Run & Operations Manager you will bring strong operational and leadership skills, you will be fully accountable for the e2e support and operations of our global scale IoT cloud solution, acting as a SPOC for any issue related to the platform or infrastructure which is mainly based on AWS. You will be leading a team of employees and consultants that builds automation and monitoring tools, you will be directly accountable for the administration of our AWS accounts, you will lead migration projects, make sure our global platform is up and running with maximum availability, ensuring a smooth, lean and efficient operation, detecting and solving any potential issue before it can affect end users, whilst proactively detecting any opportunity for improvements. As part of your duties, you will define and develop the e2e disaster recovery strategy, making sure that the IoT team has a robust contingency plan including policies, tools and procedure to ensure business continuity. Your day to day: • Manage the e2e IoT L2 Support service including incident management, triage, problem management, throubleshooting, configuration management for all IoT components and the relationship with the L2 service provider, defining SLAs, and managing our internal ticketing tools. • Define, coordinate and implement the e2e monitoring strategy for the IoT platform at application level and infrastructure level, covering logging requirements, monitoring dashboard, alarms, using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK/Kibana, pager dutty, etc. • Own AWS System administration, including but not limited to: IAM, resource tagging, keys rotation, security patches, WAF administration, CloudFront, TLS certificates administration, performing manual tasks during deployments, ensuring quality and high availability during deployments. Owning AWS accounts permissions management and analysis of billing reports to identify potential budget deviations and opportunities for cost optimization. • Own release management and automation processes for all environments, jenkins automation and initiatives to continually improve our CI/CD processes. • Collaborate and inteface with delivery , product, QA, architecture, security and wider technology, consumer and product teams and the wider PMI infrastructure team, as the IoT AWS infrastructure SME to support wider initiaves, define NFRs, set infrastructure guardrails, principles and standard methodologies. • Lead infrastructure projects, including migration our upgrade of existing tools, migration of components, AWS Accounts. Making sure IoT platform is aligned and up-to-date with global PMI IT infrastructure strategy. • Lead and promote continuous service improvement, including but not limited to standarization of monitoring logs, e2e performance improvements, cost reduction initiatives, fine tunning of alarms. • Acting as security first line of defense, for any potential anomaly detected by the monitoring tools, owing the triage process and root-cause analysis to quickly identify the cause of potential threats. Perform audits and keep up-to-date PMI compliance controls for the IoT platform. Who we are looking for: • 5+ years of experience in L2 application support (incident management, triagre, throubleshooting, problem management). • 5+ years of experience in operations of critically important online services, with strong business and technical vision. • 5+ years of experience in system administration (cloud administration, linux environments, large scale data bases, etc.) • 5+ years of relevant experience in specific technology area(s) including AWS Cloud with a focus on IOT as well as main AWS serverless services(Lambda python and node.js, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, Kinesis, IoT Core, SNS, SQS, AWS Events Bridge), Jira/Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artefactory, CI/CD. • Hands-on with AWS cloud, reviewing source code ( python and/or node.js), and linux/unix environments. • Exposure to Global environment, successfully delivering large solutions for consumers. • University degree (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Systems • AWS certified SysOps Administrator • ITIL certified (nice-to-have) What we offer: Our success depends on the people who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
