Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Shenzhen under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. Accountable to a global cross-function product design team to ensure (advanced) technology innovation can be efficiently industrialized to meet performance, quality and cost requirement. Responsibilities: • Bring electronics industry's best engineering practice and design know-how such as DFX to the organization to provide strong technical leadership and influence in value-driven electronic device design especially in its early stages. • Ensure DFx application - process wise - from the outset of all key techno blocks and heat systems development, in close partnership with core technology subject matter expert (SMEs). Support advanced manufacturing activities for core components in order to secure upfront the "right design" for the entire product life cycle and prior to industrial implementation. • Methodical in driving competitive (electronics) product analysis. Who we’re looking for • University Master degree in Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. • Min of 15 years of proven experience in a sophisticated and volatile business environment with international exposure, preferably within a Global Electronics Goods or Medical Devices company. • Hands-on experience in applying DFX process and tools to large-scale electronics design projects with successful industrialization track record. • Outstanding problem solving skill using lean design principles such as LDFSS. • Demonstrate effective communication skill in a multi-culture, multi-functional project environment to influence using domain knowledge and sound engineering logic.
