Within the commercial operations team in The Netherlands (Country NL) we are responsible for the deployment of our commercial activities related to our new and innovative line-up of Reduced Risk Products (RRP) including IQOS & HEETS. At the same time, we ensure we can optimally leverage on our market leading conventional portfolio with brands such as Marlboro & L&M to fuel our journey to a smoke free future.. In order to reach our consumers with our brands and products in The Netherlands, informing and motivating our Trade and Retail partners is key. We are currently looking for a Manager Trade Engagement to lead our Trade Engagement Team. In this role you will have the lead in the development of our offline and online trade activities, programs & events and you will be challenged to further build the indirect retail strategy & plans. As Manager Trade Engagement you will join the Country NL Team, reporting to the Country Manager NL. Do you feel thrilled when we say you can make a difference to our team and consumers? As Trade Engagement Manager you will design and deploy the Trade Engagement plan for our Reduced Risk Products and Conventional product portfolio to maximize the performance at our indirect channels. You will achieve this by: • Creating specific content for the several indirect channels (key accounts, general trade, vape channel, …), including the B2B Digital platform • Building trade brand advocacy via external and internal trade events (e.g. brand launch events) • Managing product and communication programs and driving specific consumer experiences (designed by Consumer Experience) for our consumer touchpoints • Understanding the needs and pain points of indirect retail and measuring effectiveness through trade net promotor scores (NPS) • Participating in projects and commercial initiatives acting as Trade Engagement lead • Supporting new product launches for different channels, in coordination with Digital, and in close collaboration with Commercial Planning • Significant stakeholder management towards front line Key Account and Field Teams and back office development teams is required in this role. Our ideal candidate can match the following experience and competence requirements: • Broad cross-functional commercial front & back office experience in multiple roles (min. 7-10 years). A previous role as Manager Trade Marketing or Shopper Marketing in a large FMCG with strong indirect retail presence is beneficial. • Successful track-record in building cross-functional teams and coaching employees • Solid experience in project management and new ways of working is a strong asset • Third Party (agency) Management experience is a plus Key Competencies: • Be a leader to the team and within our organization, embracing and living our leadership energies: consumer at the core, forward leaning, people activator • Strong consumer-centric mindset combined with the ability to adapt messaging towards trade partners • Strategic commercial acumen with experience in analyzing and translating insights and data into a comprehensive strategic approach • Good stakeholder management in order to align teams working crossfunctional to reach common goals • Fluent in writing and speaking English and Dutch What will the selection process look like? Talent Acquisition (TA) will perform an initial screening to assess whether candidates match with the defined vacancy requirements. If this is the case, the candidate will be invited for 2 competency-based (virtual) interviews. In parallel, you will be asked to complete online assessment tests*. At the end of the process, each candidate will receive the assessment results, as well as actionable feedback for their further development. *Assessment Tests The tests are integrated in the selection process to increase objectivity of the final decision making. The assessment tests for this role is a cognitive ability test. The results will not be saved in the employee’s file, and will only be used in the context of the vacancy for which the employee is applying.
