For more than a decade, PMI has been focused on evolving its business away from cigarettes, moving toward the delivery of a smoke-free future. This significant transition means that we now need to find talent across several new functional areas within our growing business – many of which have never previously existed within our structures. At the forefront of this effort is our Global Talent Acquisition Delivery team – and we are now looking for a new Talent Acquisition Manager to join us and support our expanding operations in the US. In this role, you will be responsible for leading PMI’s talent acquisition efforts across the US, liaising with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and advise on suitable strategies to find and retain the best talent. Based in Stamford, CT, the role will report to our Regional TA Lead with close ties to our People & Culture Head in the US, as well as our Life Sciences team in Lausanne, Switzerland. This role also has responsibility for 2 direct reports, based in the same office. Role Accountabilities • Play a key role in the development and delivery of the TA strategy and plan for Hiring in the US, demonstrating a robust understanding of business needs and culture to inform candidate 'fit’; interpreting business requirements and challenges and translating them into successful Talent Acquisition strategies to achieve the workforce plan; • Lead and manage the hiring process to ensure a quality assured and consistent experience for candidates and colleagues alike. • Partner with global senior hiring team to meet the US executive hiring needs directly or through retained search firms. • Take steps to continuously improve the candidate and colleague experience and engagement through feedback and adoption of market-leading processes and digital tools, to deliver an exceptional candidate experience across the organization. • Ensure candidate onboarding experience provides a seamless transition from candidate to employee. • Lead, develop and support the TA team in building subject matter expertise, professional insights and knowledge of market trends and candidate profiles to inform discussions on strategic resource needs and to underpin nearer term objectives. • Keep pace with, and contribute to, the Talent Acquisition function and guidance to hiring managers regarding market employment trends, compensation, skills & attributes, target companies, recruitment strategies, interviewing, assessments and sourcing tactics and channels. • Implement creative/effective sourcing methods relevant to the different business needs– i.e., social media, referrals and campus channels. • Develop and deploy strategies to communicate the organization's employer brand and employee value proposition to candidates, hiring leaders, and the market. • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies • Monitor, track and report against performance measures for Talent Acquisition effectiveness and use output to inform Talent Acquisition strategy. The successful candidate will: • Hold a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or another relevant field. • Have demonstrated knowledge and experience of implementing and managing TA processes in a multinational working environment. • Be experienced in scoping, defining and managing change activity within a recruitment team, harnessing knowledge, skills and experience to deliver better outcomes. • Experience recruiting for exempt and nonexempt profiles. • Experience engaging and supporting executive level searches and senior management team buildout. • Have excellent communication, engagement and business partnering skills to sustain momentum around the change agenda at a pace, without compromising the recruitment experience for candidates and colleagues. • Be an experienced people manager with the ability to coach and motivate both direct reports and also the wider TA team. • Able to work effectively within a matrix environment and to flex between detail and strategy, utilizing resources and budgets in a smart and efficient way.
