Your ‘day to day’ As a Tax Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring that PMI's tax compliance and reporting obligations in the Philippines are met including participation to ad-hoc advisories and projects. Your core responsibilities: 1. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with regard to the Tax Operation function for the local market 2. Execute best in class/efficient operational Tax processes for Tax reporting, Tax provision, transfer pricing, indirect and direct tax compliance. Specifically the following processes in the initial phase: • IPR and Customs Duty Drawback • Licensing warehousing (excise and customs) • Import/export processes • US GAAP tax accounting • Statutory tax accounting • Income tax return preparation and filing Income tax payments • OC fee support file • Non-deductible expenses 3. Conduct customs compliance reviews, coordinate with consultants/counsels in the handling of customs audits, indirect tax litigations and assist in the preparation of voluntary disclosures 4. Provide tax and customs advisory and trainings to respective teams in the organization to ensure proper tax and customs risk mitigation 5. Build and be part of a strong team of tax experts and strong cross-functional relationships in the local market across the business (e.g., Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and Operations). Help the company understand how all the pieces fit together 6. Be up to date with relevant legislation and execute best in class operational tax processes for tax and customs compliance to manage effectively the local market tax positions, tax audits, tax litigation and communication with Fiscal Authorities 7. Continuous streamlining of the tax processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness 8. Ensure and execute timely and accurate filing of all tax filings obligations in the local market. Ensure timely payment and/or refund of all tax obligations 9. Support Global Customs Classification Team in the Annual Classification Review and upload requirements in Tax Portal 2.0 as advised by Global Indirect Tax 10. Manage internal relationships (other functional teams within and outside PH); Manage external relationships with consultants/advisors/auditor/3rd parties (KPMG, PwC, EY, contractor); Manage relationship with the local tax and customs authorities Who we’re looking for · A graduate of Bachelor Science in Economics or Accounting is desirable · Certified Public Accountant preferred · At least 8 years of experience in taxation, customs and finance · Proficient in Excel and knowledgeable in SAP · Tax Consultancy background preferred · With Experience in Process optimization and team management What we offer Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
