Your ‘day to day’ As an EHS Engineer, you will develop and implement the environment, health, and safety (sustainability) systems and programs in accordance with company principles and legal requirements in order to prevent injury to employees, damage to the environment, and minimize business impact of foreseeable losses. You will continually improve the system based on audit results, incident investigations, business, and process changes. You will be act as subject matter expect for Sustainability ensuring all planning, execution, and monitoring of activities will be done with minimal risk. Your responsibilities include • Develop and implement Sustainability systems, programs, and training modules by analyzing training needs and maintaining training records to ensure full understanding of sustainability aspects of their jobs and responsibilities. You will also continuously improve these trainings based on feedback and emerging needs. • Execute a proactive loss prevention program including risk management (identification, assessment, and control), inspections, audits, and emergency planning. This includes monitoring their implementation in order to eliminate or reduce health, safety, and environmental risks. • Keep well-informed with the latest Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental regulatory requirement together with the latest technology on prevention and control. • Coordinate accident investigation, analysis, reporting, and tracking to allow the Sustainability Department and Management in identifying causes as well as prevention. This includes implementing emergency preparedness program. Who we’re looking for You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related courses). You have at least 2 years of related EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with a detailed understanding of legal requirements and applicable standards such as but not limited to (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. A certified Safety Officer 2 or 3 is preferred. You are driven, committed and passionate to level up standards and has strong collaboration, analytical, problem-solving and planning skills. Good communication skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint is also required. You must also be amenable to work in Marikina Plant.
