You’ll be solving supply chain problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world. Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will support the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) in Hong Kong. You will … • Develop and own the Electro-Mechanical category on sourcing strategies and global supplier network capabilities to achieve key business goals: Time to Market, Cost, Lead Time Reduction, Supply Flexibility and Business continuity. • Responsible for total category ownership, including supplier relationship management, cost management, supply, suppliers capacity, negotiation and alternative suppliers sourcing. • Lead alternative sourcing projects for the category and may also cover the PCBAs components to optimize the cost competitiveness and supply chain efficiency. • Manage and optimize spend with external suppliers, generating Procurement value-add (savings and cost-avoidance). Establish price forecasts for budget cycles to enable affiliate and finance to perform Standard Variable Costs calculations. • Identify, assess, negotiate and recommend vendors based on a thorough analysis of current and projected needs as well as component market trends. Investigate all possible sourcing options, shortlist the best scenarios and make recommendations to the Supply Chain management. • Handle vendor relations by evaluating vendors’ performance, analyzing financial and non-financial procurement reports and following up throughout continuous improvement plans. • In conjunction with the Law department, participate in the development of appropriate contract structures, specifically with regards to creation and retention of intellectual property rights. • Develop and implement appropriate contractual agreements with legal support. Who we’re looking for • University degree in Engineering Electronics, Mechanical or Business Administration • MBA or Masters degree/ Procurement certification/ Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred (green or black belt) • Minimum 10 years of relevant procurement sourcing experience & minimum 3 years of which with management experience. • Experience in component sourcing, especially within Electro-mechanical category and working with contract manufacturers will be essential • Demonstrate experience in project management and in establishing robust partnerships internally and externally. Desired expertise in either Mechanical, Electronic or Electromechanical components. • Knowledge in new product development process and project management • Experience in working on hand-held electronics products will be an added advantage • Experience working in a remote team and sophisticated internal collaborators network • Proficient in English and Chinese is fundamental What we offer Our success depends on our talents who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
