The Data Privacy Manager will be effective in providing guidance to business and functional leaders for different global functions on a range of data privacy matters. Responsibilities will include: effectively building and maintaining strong internal relations at a senior management level within the relevant functions; providing guidance and recommendation of data privacy strategy, policy, and practice to the function management and other members of the legal department. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? • Solid working knowledge of data privacy laws, regulations, and best practices. • Preferred legal background or experience in a compliance or risk role for at least five years. • Demonstrate experience of managing data privacy issues in a global organization. • Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of privacy laws relevant to EU/UK/Swiss markets and the regulatory framework relating to privacy. • Fluency in English required. Fluency in other European languages would be a benefit. • Strategic thinker with excellent judgement and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. • Experience in using and navigating Onetrust (or similar privacy management software such as TrustArc). • Privacy certification (such as CIPP/CIPM/CIPT or similar) strongly preferred. HOW CAN YOU MAKE HISTORY WITH US? • Providing primary privacy support to People & Culture function and Global Communication function, in response to the full spectrum of privacy issues including privacy training and conducting privacy impact assessments. • Consult with and advise the Company on appropriate legal requirements and risks related to privacy. • Counsel and advise senior management and various legal, IT security, and business teams on mitigating privacy risks. • Assisting in monitoring new and developing privacy law related trends and best practices related to the People & Culture function, to help identify critical legal issues and practical compliance solutions for the Company. • Work closely with internal business partners to understand their business processes, applications, projects, and technologies to ensure compliance with relevant global privacy laws, regulations, and best practices. • Help design and embed privacy requirements and controls into projects, products, technologies, initiatives, and services throughout the Company. • Develop and maintain a training program to the relevant business functions, data privacy requirements, internal policy and standards. • Support on data subject rights requests within the assigned business functions. • Identify and advise on legal and compliance issues arising out of various internal and external privacy audits, assessments, tests, reviews, and ongoing program improvement efforts. • Maintain excellent working relationships with business partners to ensure that their legal and business needs are satisfied.
