Join us in our IT team and you will provide leadership and direction to find new ways to turn data into market-facing products by delivering a data platform that empowers business users, data scientist and relevant external parties to extract business-related insights. Furthermore, you will deliver a combination of products and services to build a data pipeline by establishing an integrated solution between multiple parties: internal, vendors, partners, retailers or a combination of them. Finally, you will lead the team (internal and external) effort to define the road to and deliver a scalable, event-driven data platform, that support the business developments and evolutions toward enhanced data availability, visualization and analysis. Specific responsibilities include: • Provide leadership and direction for PMI data platforms design across multiple projects, external data sourced from various touchpoints or service providers and internal IT functional team activities • Oversee the activities related to creation of robust and automated pipelines to ingest and process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into data platforms using batch and streaming mechanism leveraging cloud native toolset. Align tools with Global IT Portfolio, communicate and agree the technology tools with the regional/global IT functions. Oversee the intake, prioritization, completion of internal and external data requests to provide self-service BI reporting and machine learning capabilities • Direct design, development and maintenance of Data Warehouse solutions for the PM Italy affiliate following the global PMI standards and procedures by understanding the relationships between the data sets/processes used from cross platform applications and use the right tools to deliver testable, maintainable and scalable data platforms • Apply best practices for scalable data model, pipelines and queries; wherever applicable, identify root cause and interacts closely with business users and technical resources to provide solution to data questions. Manage optimal performance tunes queries and stored procedures to keep databases and applications optimized in term of response time and cost • Design robust and effective set of quality assurance working closely with global/central platform teams including compliance with data privacy regulation and data security best practices in order to deliver IT Services in an optimum way (timely, cost effective, secure, stable, reliable and user-friendly, both from IT and user perspective) to maximize efficiency • Manage external and internal service providers to ensure that service levels are met and the costs are in line with the expectations Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline • Experience of minimum 5+ years in the following areas: o Databases and data access for both SQL/noSQL technology o Datawarehouse architecture and structure: ETL, data storage, metadata, data quality o AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, EC2, Athena o Power BI for data visualization o Knowledge of Agile, DevOps methodologies o Service Management (ITIL) and project management methodologies • Demonstrated results through collaboration with business and technical team to provide timely and accurate data platforms for self-service reporting environment • Deep knowledge in dealing with large set of data including structured and unstructured data as well as query optimization • Knowledge in streaming and batching data processing and efficient and performing organization of data in devices set of data platforms • Product awareness related with off the shelf data warehouse solutions • Fluent in English and Italian What’s ‘nice to have’: • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline • Experience in the following areas: o Microsoft suite (SSIS, SSAS) o Machine learning o Snowflakes and matillion • Experience in working with B2B and B2C environment • Great communication skills • Ability to work under pressure • Team player, positive attitude and willingness to share competencies • Entrepreneurship and attention to details What we offer: Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
