Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will work together with the Global Head of Battery Technology, to lead, build & direct battery development team and battery experts to strategize and accelerate and improve the technical battery development and qualification process. As the technical lead you are accountable for the delivery of battery performance and the key decision maker on development roadmap for application batteries. Responsibilities: As lead technical expert, lead the internal battery development engineers & external battery experts/ 3rd party organization to deliver fit for application battery. Build executable battery development roadmap to enhance the product portfolio. Lead and manage the Battery Development engineers on technical development processes. Act as the key technical solution driver & focus point for all battery development project challenges. Lead the team to define key process and material attributes at battery level. Lead the development of battery systems and test methods to validate the performance of batteries. Be the approver of the battery test & characterization process. Who we’re looking for Minimum of 10 years battery development and project management experience. Experience in battery safety and performance verification. Experience in managing/collaboration with external development and manufacturing partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English. Creative individual, with the ability to work independently whilst being a core team member. Ability to challenge peers and senior management. Ability to embrace a structured approach to rationalize and develop processes, tools and resources from both internal and external partners. Experimental mindset, oriented to quality of results with technical decisions taken on the basis of objective data Technically savvy in the field of high power battery application, its challenges and mitigation plans. Ability to strategize business direction based on current challenges to find solutions.
