Your ‘day to day’ The Manager Engineering Innovation is a key partner of the Product Category Management and Electronics Engineering teams to ensure the de-risking of certain scenarios for early product development phase. The Manager Engineering Innovation collaborates with the other members of the IT Product Innovation team and provides inputs to define the technology de-risking plan for the PMI portfolio of smoke free products. Main Accountabilities: • Document the definition of next generation prototypes based on the latest technologies. • Ability to translate business ideas and requirements into IOT, Connectivity and Cloud requirements. • Liaise with key stakeholders, request information needed in timely manner, provide answers to their questions. Inform the relevant IT teams in a timely manner on the requirements arising in their streams. • Maintain in-depth knowledge of as-is product/services functionality, including technical understanding of all components of hardware and firmware. • Keep track of security and compliance requirements, accountable for periodic assessment of compliance, controls and security guidelines. • Collaborate with other IT and IoT team members to deliver complete, high quality, secure and scalable solutions. • Scout for new technologies , technology providers and share the relevance for them to be utilized in the PMI context. • Manage budget and resources for assigned projects, keep track of budget execution. Who we’re looking for: • 8+ years of experience in information technology or electronics engineering with a combination of development background, business analyst, technical product owner, solution architecture in Agile environments (scrum/kanban/SAFe). • Excellent Project Management skills • Demonstrated experience in Consumer electronics prototyping, design, scouting and de-risking • 5+ years of relevant experience in specific technology area(s) including AWS Cloud (Serverless, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, Kinesis, IoT Core), Connectivity (both wired and wireless), RESTFul APIs, IoT Core services, Mobile Apps, Jira/Confluence, Jenkins, CI/CD. • Excellent English language fluency (C2) is mandatory due to the nature of this role. • Strong understanding of experiences with IoT products is required. • Relevant experience in prototyping and piloting new technologies is required ( ex: IoT apps, Firmware integration, core connectivity and connected experiences with devices etc) • Quick learner with a demonstrated interest in technology including current and future trends ( AI, ML, Blockchain) • Highly flexible mindset with a strong ability to handle ambiguity while working in a multicultural environment. • Ability to work independently while being a great team player. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. • Exposure to Global environment, successfully delivering large solutions for consumers. • Full stack IoT application management is big plus.
