Distribution Manager Romania PMI is hiring an Distribution Manager for an open role in Bucharest, Romania. As Distribution Manager, you will be a core part of a project of business transformation aimed at delivering a smoke-free future. Who you are As Distribution Manager, you are a professional with at least 10 years of experience in supply chain. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, and do possess expertise in: • Project Management, • Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, • Customer Insights Understanding, Supply Chain Application, Territory Knowledge, Coverage/Routing Understanding and Application, Inventory Management, Channel Knowledge, Trade Marketing Principles, Key Accounts Principles, Segmentation Principles Understanding or Expense Management, Forecasting. What you will do At PMI, you will be responsible for leading 2 operational business streams: distribution and warehouse, eventually optimizing performance and developing functional capabilities to support our commercial agenda. You will execute warehouse and logistics optimization, and oversee the end to end customs and excise process. Moreover, you will be committed to a series of accountabilities: • Warehouse management – organize and coordinate the sequence of execution warehouse operations and coordinate the work of the external warehouses according to shipment plans. • Service delivery and performance execution – lead cost to serve initiatives on a permanent basis, optimize processes, lead projects tied to cost efficiency within Service Delivery stream, constantly look for opportunities to increase knowledge of Risk and Controls. • End to end business process supervisory – lead, manage and oversee the end to end customs & operations control activity in compliance with related regulations, ensure seamless communication and collaboration between customs & excise pillars as well as with all related stakeholders, manage budgeting of Customs & Excise business processes in the most efficient & effective way. • Reporting – analyze the company reporting needs, identify and propose new formats of the reports, co-ordinate development of new reporting tools with ICS and Sales Information departments, control preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly reports on in-market sales, shipments and Distributor’s and factory stocks. • Collaboration and consultancy – oversee and manage planning processes and communication flows with regards to the distributors’ sales planning and shipment planning departments, lead or contribute to global / local initiatives to achieve PMI market, Operations or Supply Chain strategies. • Budget and people management – contribute to Operations budget management by proper shipment costs forecasting, cost to serve and supervision. • Compliance environment, health and safety – ensure full compliance with local legislation and company policies and procedures, adhere to all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) rules, policies and procedures.
