THE “DATA INTELLIGENCE” TEAM: We are looking for a “(Senior) Data Engineer” to join our “Data Intelligence” team based in our headquarter in Vienna, Austria. The team is building analytics capabilities in order to enable data driven decision making with focus on delivering high quality data sources and creating PowerBI Dashboards for different business functions. The Data warehouse platform hosted on AWS and levering the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack is meant to evolve through time with regular releases of new features, data sources and other improvements. THE “DATA ENGINEER” ROLE: As a “(Senior) Data Engineer”, you will join a growing team where you maintain and further enhance our Data warehouse using AWS services (Lambda, S3, etc.) and Microsoft Services (SSIS, ETL, SQL, etc.). You will also need good business understanding and communication skills for the day-to-day work with internal business functions, central expert teams and vendors. One of the key projects will be to lead the migration towards a global Enterprise Data Platform (Data Ocean) and leveraging tools such as Snowflake, Matillion and AWS. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: · Technical DWH owner: Maintenance, enhancement, scheduling and troubleshooting of ETL jobs · Lead the migration towards a global Enterprise Data Platform (AWS, Snowflake, Matillion) · Coordinate a small team of contracted data engineers · Add new data sources (Flat files, SQL Server, SFTP, S3 Lambda) · Design DWH architecture and Data Marts · Create dataflows and datasets for Power BI · Develop SSIS packages; Stored procedures, functions, views, tables in SQL Server. · Close collaboration with other Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Data Scientists and global IT teams YOUR PROFILE: · You have a Bachelor/Master's degree in (Business) Informatics, Engineering or similar · You are fluent in English, both written and spoken – German is a plus · You have at least 2-3 years experience in data engineering - SQL Server (Scheduling SQL Agent Tasks, Indexing, Performance tuning) - T-SQL - writing skills View, Stored Procedures, Analytical Functions, etc. - Designing DWH and DB solutions (Star Schema, Snowflake) - ETL development (SSIS, Talend or similar) · You are familiar and have worked with Microsoft BI tools · You are open to enhance your skills in Snowflake, Matillion and AWS · You are collaborative, open minded, interested in new technologies and bring analytical skills with you · You are self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability and not afraid to take initiative and be innovative INTERESTED?
