As a Sustainability Engagement Executive you will use your passion, curiosity and drive to embed sustainability throughout our activities in the Benelux affiliate and Bergen op Zoom (BoZ) factory. This is your entry point in External Affairs team, with plenty of other exciting areas to explore in both Belgium and Netherlands! In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to align with internal and external stakeholders to drive forward the Benelux affiliate’s path towards a sustainable smoke-free future. Your key projects will be linked to leading internal engagement and activation of Benelux and BoZ employees and supporting the deployment of global sustainability focus areas. Together with the rest of the sustainability and EA team and the support of the cross functional sustainability group you will play a key role in embedding sustainability in the day-to-day activities of various departments and raise the awareness in the affiliate on sustainability topics in general. This experience and knowledge build-up will prepare you to further grow in External Affairs team, in areas such as communication and external engagement. Are you the person we are looking for? Responsibilities of the role: • Lead the development and rollout for all elements of the internal sustainability engagement strategy; drive the alignment with EA comms to proactively identify & assess external opportunities on sustainability topics: o Educate – ensure ongoing upskilling of all employees, tailored to department relevant needs; assist with the coordination and facilitation of the Benelux & BoZ cross-functional working group o Communicate – ensure engaging and relevant content is provided to all internal stakeholders on relevant sustainability developments o Empower – plan events to engage and activate employees on topics related to local sustainability strategic pillars • Support on sustainability project coordination and deployment o Support scale up and roll out of global focus areas including anti-cigarette butt littering across BE/NL. o Assist on sustainability strategic projects, including ANTI-CBL campaign, low-carbon transition plan in BoZ and Benelux, VCDO (Voka Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen) & AWS (Alliance for Water Stewardship) certification processes and drafting local integrated report. Who are you: • Passion for sustainability is a must! Practical experience or studies in sustainability are a plus. • Interest to explore other areas of External Affairs like communication and external engagement • Minimum 1 year of back office OR field experience. • Driven by curiosity, passion for results and hands on mentality. • Strong English (verbal and written) skills and Dutch and/or French are required. • Excellent team player, comfortable to take initiative and communicate & engage across departments. • Previous project experience would be an advantage. What will the selection process look like? Talent Acquisition (TA) will perform an initial screening to assess whether candidates match with the defined vacancy requirements. If this is the case, the candidate will be invited for 2 competency-based (virtual) interviews. In parallel, you will be asked to complete online assessment tests*. At the end of the process, each candidate will receive the assessment results, as well as actionable feedback for their further development. *Assessment Tests The tests are integrated in the selection process to increase objectivity of the final decision making. The assessment tests for this role is a cognitive ability test. The results will not be saved in the employee’s file, and will only be used in the context of the vacancy for which the employee is applying. Results are therefore not used for purposes of performance evaluation. • Cognitive Ability Test: Report links under three headings: 1.
