We are currently looking to hire a Procurement Manager to join our team in Stamford, CT and play an active role in the biggest transformation in the history of our company. In this role: Your ‘day to day’: You will understand the market growth and complexity, demand forecast and opportunities in an unexplored affiliate with no procurement or spend baseline. Lead assigned sub-categories, stakeholders and direct reports (if/when applicable) acting as a leader and a point of reference. Leverage business acumen to provide critical thinking to assure, protect and build value to PMI. Coordinate whenever possible the integration with Global/ Sub-category Strategy to leverage upon existing contracts and sourcing processes or deploy a local strategy to sustain the reliable delivery of goods/services, achieve cost improvement, minimize risks, optimize processes, improve quality and ensure efficient demand management. Develop market supplier base and lead assigned supplier contracts. Responsibilities: Negotiation & Partnership -Coordinate and steer critical negotiations. -Address all stakeholders' critical needs, prioritizing, bringing market knowledge and preparing on-the-go BCP plans for the short term while discovering and planning new ways of working for the long term. Demand Management -Build affiliate projects pipeline from scratch based on business stakeholders’ demands provided by Procurement Accounts and prioritizing according to market maturity. -Focus on sustainable contribution, value creation and boosting of standardization, leveraging on best-in-class practices. Ensure timely realization of sub-category strategies and sourcing plan. Subcategory Spend Management -Provide Procurement support and mentorship to the business within the budgeting process. -Integrate into Finance OB and RF cycles, providing the latest updates on procurement contribution initiatives and cost information (cost drivers trends and materials/ services prices). Affiliate Strategy and Contribution -Find opportunities of standardization of business requirements across the PMI (wherever applicable), leverage on standardization to gain cost efficiency within the subcategory spend. Contractual Framework -Master legal templates to encompass local legislative requirements, Business’ needs, RSP principles, IP rights, company protection and exclusivity clauses. -Develop and drive deployment of contractual models / "golden" samples with strategic suppliers and / or within strategic scope. -Procurement Process & Compliance Process Efficiency -Understand how different functional processes interact with each other and recommend relevant improvements and work with the regional Governance team to put in place key control measures and relevant KPI's to assure Procurement process compliance and efficiency. Compliance and Governance -Build the framework in which US entities shall be governed, ensuring that strategies and procurement processes are aligned with PMI Principles and Practices and market regulations/standards. Align with all applicable rules, policies and procedures. -Act as a role model in compliance management and ensure that all procurement employees are adhering to Company P&Ps. -Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) -Supplier Segmentation and Risk Mitigation -Maintain the relationship with most strategic and critical suppliers. Who we’re looking for: -5 years' experience in procurement at a strategic level. -Experience and knowledge of the US market required. -Experience in Indirect spend management, specifically in Non-Operations categories (Commercial, Professional Services, Information Technology, External Affairs, etc.) is required. -4 Year University degree in Economics, Financial management or Business Administration. MBA degree is a plus.
