Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in either Hong Kong or Shenzhen Electronics Product Development Center (ePDC) which operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. As a Project Manager report into Program Management Office (PMO) you will to lead multiple projects from project scope definition, concept/prototype builds through to the validation of manufacturing equipment and processes until mass production ramp completion or introduction of product and process improvement at our manufacturing partners. You will lead a team of internal & external cross functional, cross organization and cross geographies teams, typically 15-30 people per project to develop program schedules, ensure new products are brought to market on time with efficient quality, performance, cost and volumes. From CAPEX budgets for design & development, industrialization and production readiness of the project; and propose mitigation options to Steering Committee/Senior Management for decision making. Responsibilities • Ensure smooth product development, industrialization, mass production and post launch readiness which requires strong project management expertise to synchronize different functions such as Product Development subject matter experts (SMEs), Procurement, Supply chain, Quality, Engineering, Product Services, Manufacturing Management, and Finance as well and external partners such as manufacturing partners and tier 2 suppliers while collaborating with the central functions. • Coordinate a multicultural and cross-functional project team, as well as internal and external resources / vendors / partners to guarantee successful project realization. Within sophisticated project matrix, address training needs in collaboration with (internal/external) customers and management team to assure project teams coordination and performance. • Demonstrate and apply technical and commercial competence, develop efficient technical/ commercial solutions in order to satisfy project requirements and present new creative possibilities. Resolve projects related issues by analyzing, identifying and facilitating recommendations to achieve optimal solutions. • Communicate and develop networking with senior management, suppliers / partners, service providers and consultants to ensure that projects rolls out efficiently. • Participate to the business justification process from initial option definition, feasibility studies, benefit-risk analysis, budget and resource requirements related to project phases to maintain principles along the life cycle of the assigned project and to assist management in decision making. • Respect company Compliance Policies, standards and laws and ensure that external partners respect them as well. Ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature at any time. Ensure products fully meet requirements and regulatory standards. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Automation/ Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent. • Shown experience of leading sizable cross-culture teams and remote teams in Project Management, Design and Development, New Product Introduction, Product & Process Improvement in a multinational environment, within consumer electronics or high-volume electronics industry. • Shown knowledge in Manufacturing Practices, Product Specification & Process Manufacturing Standards, Quality System, Industrialization and manufacturing processes, Procurement & Supply Chain practice and principles. • Strong risk management and mitigation skills. Strong attention to details • Strong presentation skills and excellent command of English is a must.
